If you trade on Bloomberg news your account will be wiped in a blink, but thanks for the info, definitely think the bears are coming but not yet, this triangle break-out on TOP40 is very bullish and going to cause pain for the bears!!

 

Still in minor 5 of Intermediate III.

 

Until distribution takes places or a valid weekly reversal candle is given keeping your longs will make you serious mula!

Today we broke out of a triangle on the daily.

Target +-47370.

like i said last week the ZAR buying was overdone and well lets say forced in a direction without any real reason

now ZAR is taking its hiding again and its across USD, GBP and EUR! longed all three last week and GREEN all over the screen...+ GREEN on ALSI

If you are on IG platform and want to play ALSI40 I strongly advise you not to play anything bigger than the R4 per point (2 micro contracts @R2 per point each) until you start getting a feel for things.....which could take a couple of years or so. Recommend you also read Reminiscences of a Stock Operator (Lefevre) AND Trading Tools And Tactics: Reading The Mind Of The Market (Greg Capra).

 

Don't get suckered into a false sense of confidence by the dummy trading account. You wont learn anything until you have lost and made your own money.

For a quick scalp, that is...

Bounced nicely of that support line in the fist chart posted over the weekend,

second chart shows my target and some support, which will hopefully hold, if it does not, I have next support @ +- 46530, after that, back to +- 46260 again.

I am aiming to go short @ +-46800.

Rand strengthened very briefly when announcement was made, but then weakened just as fast

Quite right K. Took it on the chin when I offloaded a few accumulated longer term shorts on the recent dip. Still carrying a small short from a few weeks back. Been subsidising the growing loss by buying the dips with my recently changed view that this ALSI still has quite a lot of value sitting in it,....even at these levels.
