Hedge,

I just checked and they both show +13 on Dow Futures

BlythZ, what link are you using?

I'm looking at  http://www.sgxniftyd.../DOWFUTURES.htm

I had the same problem. I also found that depending on how you look at the chart and more how you stretch the chart you can make links from almost anything. I am no expert on this but in my view before you could use this you would have to spend lots and lots of time studying charts until the pasterns emerge. but then again if you can see pasterns in charts you don't need wave theory.

in my view there are no predictive tools that work reliably, having said that the market is essentially nothing to do with money and far more to do with sentiment. If the world fells good the stock goes up. I found that you get a much better idea of stock direction by reading as much of the news you can find, charts in my view are something that represents the market and informs you after the fact of a change. Your ability to make money depends on how fast you respond to that information.

The bottom line here is that you are dealing with humans, there are a few things we all have in common, fear, greed, apprehension, apathy, happiness and sadness, if you can decide what of these emotions the world is feeling at any one time you will be able to follow the market. oh by the way you only need to know what half the world is feeling, the ones in the developed countries, and more importantly the feelings of the one percent in those countries, as hard is it sounds the rest of the people on earth just don't matter in stock market terms and that includes you and me.

which leaves us where?

imvho, the right hind side of the chart (RHS == Price) is what rules. next come your discipline ito taking profit or respect stop losses. this works, whether you use astrology/golden ratios/HDB/whatever...

---fwiw : i am new on the forum and happy to acquire new insight - been around in markets since early '90's...

Okay,my head is spinning.  Counting waves within waves within waves within waves and getting hopelessly lost trying to identify all the waves.

I would appreciate some feedback on this graph please? I am struggling to put together my Wave III's subwaves (Wave III in red).  I might be hopelessly off track though, so bare with me please.

Thanks guys.

*edit* , I know I have the current (red) Wave count wrong, it just doesn't look right.

is my problem also. looked into this (EW) seriously some years ago - there are enough rules (and if that fails, exception to the rules), that makes great hindsight reading. i'm yet to see a failed count, looking backwards...

good luck and all that!

The Elliott tech work is never done. Meticulous scanning for options and confidence levels.

Always counting, always questioning yourself. You don't have to be nuts but if not already, you soon will be.

Here is the ex-tensioning of  the final wave of the big wave III. Looking to confirm if this is now complete...

AJS - I will look for a chart with what you asking

honest question, do you actually trade your count and subsequent targets?

Africa will never be regarded as adult until all of its organisations stop admiring and protecting criminal dictators.

MSM et al presents (sponsored) opinion as fact and seeks to indoctrinate. Journalists without ethics proliferate in a swamp of filthy lucre (BBC inclusive).

In response to decades of racism by fearful minority whites called apartheid there will be an eternity of racism by revengeful majority blacks called all kinds of excuses.

Corruption is not yet compulsory but it may as well be - Aggressive africanization uses the racist Employment Equity Act as a club.

Too many humans are too busy copulating to bother about the irresponsible, unsustainable and progressively catastrophic population explosion.

Whilst humanity prevails so will evil. Evil will survive and thrive through sophisticated indoctrination and other conscience-suppressing disguises.

Desmond Tutu has been praying for the downfall of the ANC since 2011. Clearly he needs some assistance with such a difficult and worthy task..

Cockroaches still lurk on sharechat because it is prime real estate for their con artistry, duping and grand theft.

I've tossed the sink at a short on Sept Alsi @ 46478

No real reason, just looks like it was an over reaction today and I'm looking to close when we come close to a support line

Personally I think this thing is going to drop like a rock, the only thing I haven't worked out is what day it will start. If tomorrow starts that slow sideways thing again then we are in for more of the same slow grind, OR I think there will be a correction tomorrow back to the bottom of the channel. that may lead to a bigger drop, but only if the rest of the world goes with it, the SA market will not correct by itself.

my thoughts as well AJ...there might be some form of retracement but also feel even "higher" highs are going to be in before sell-off

entering around these levels on "longs" calls for strict adherence to stops(risk)  when the sky comes down its going to fall HARD and FAST!!  look into the woods, do you see all those glowing bear eyes

Thanks a lot - I find it very useful as I'm quite interested in EW.

Looking at your counts - where did Primary I start at exactly? And the current Fib extension of Primary III from Primary II low?

Thanks again.
