I really didn't think the market could crash back in 2014. I think in the old days the JSE would have crashed at those levels but the reality is its now just a function of all other markets. Essentially when they crash we crash. The US is ready now. The UK is insanely ready following the Brexit bump. Tencent which seems to be the only real driver left for the JSE is so far past ready its insane. Then again it could become an amazon and get that PE up to 200.

I think what everybody is seeing at the moment is how much technical energy has been removed from the sideways movements in the JSE over the last few years. I just wonder if the technical underlying of the JSE would stop it from moving lower and lower if the international markets go into panic mode?

Hope your long works out and you find the exact right point to flip back to short.

Tell me you said you only trade twice a year. Is it a case of making a set amount of profit and then just enjoying the earnings and the freedom?

yes whats happening now is insanity..agreed

thanks man , it missed my limit but ill hold again

Yup thats exactly it, i try to walk away with a profit, its too stressful to do everyday. I cant. its insane

Yo.

I was short thankfully for that drop yesterday I managed to close positions. Went long on the dip.

Yeah I must say I feel more comfortable going long here. After seeing all this **** since last week and having heart palpitations decided to take the long instead

Good luck. Looks like you can cash that in straight away. Likely to be a large day of buying crap on the Jse. Tencent looking for it all time closing level. Bhp up. Es absolutely soaring.

I like the mainstream media headline of markets up because of fed tightening. This compares to the headline from a few weeks ago saying markets up because fed members strike dovish tones.

Clear once again that these are bubble movements. Market takes significant events as an opportunity to buy regardless of the outcome.

I'm gonna say it. The world markets could easily correct 50% starting at any random point. The Jse will correct even further. I know most people on this forum don't agree with me but there is no substance to the market and it's far worse than it's ever been before and there will be no rescue plan this time.

I'll probably be insolvent by then though so there's no trading wisdom in any of the statements I've made.

Or do you mean ride it out as a short? Been short for 5 months. Doesn't seem to be an end in sight at all.

I wonder if it is BTC that is so high, or the fiat currencies that is so low?

Bitcoin is a funny one because at present if you buy them they are impossible to sell until confirmed,,,

that is taking weeks unless you pay a large ransom to get to the front of the queue...

So the price keeps going up..

Very risky!!!

Shorts might be fooled by this minor drop. Possibly just a breather before pushing on to 48.6k.

Range and level is very broad... we can drop 6000 points and still be going sideways....

I be happy with that 6000
