Been reading this thread for some time, never actually commented.

Sitting with CFR open (long) at 102.80 - been waiting for that spike, but seems pretty flat.

Anyone with open CFR thinking of closing out?

Yep, planning on holding my long for a 107+ target. Will only close if it breaks significantly below 100.

What would you suggest as an alternative? Without a solution I would have to stick with investec at this piont to be honest.

if you trade aggressively costs play a big role..IG markets imo is a win!

I have a long in place @ R101.89 but will keep a little longer. Looks like huge H&S in the making (right shoulder still needs to be formed)

What's going on with SHF? Down 3.68%!

SL in at 49.90.

Not gonna top this up.  Risk vs reward does not add up.

IMO only thing that will send this back to 60 in the short term is if results exceed investor expectations next month.

53 will probably act resistance now - best case I escape this trade at that level for a small loss

I figured you would use that rationale...so did I...a year ago.

But it is completely unjustified...right so you pay R400pm for your pvt banking (already a rip off). But Investec is nice enough to add a share trading account as part of the basket.

Problem is, you are paying almost 10% costs to complete a CFD trade there (buy & sell).

One trade of R100k exposure already rips you R1000 in fees!!

I agree not very good in that sence the fees is really killing me, the only reason i use it now is that I do not pay additional fees from my normal banking. Stops ect they are looking to add.

What do you guys use?

I recommend you change your platform.

Investec is fine for plain long term underlying...but certainly not CFD's.  I mean the costs alone should make you move (45bps per trade!)

If I recall you could not even manage alerts and stops on that thing...nevermind look at a proper chart.  :o

CFR has become more of a currency play until next set of results!! You long or short this depending on your view on the rand.

Ps...a divi is due sometime early next month I think so this will hold it up!!

Considering a long on OML @ R34 and TP R36+

What is up with SHF? Tempted to get out but results due early next month

Also have a small long on SHF at 53.60.

Should have stopped out under 53...but you know.

Might as well look for a top up now at around 50.60 and stop out if it is silly enough to crack below 50.

A little concerned here tho, I have topped up heavily on this recent book build in the LTP and the trend is looking down...this might be the start of a longer term consolidation, it has after all done more than 100% in the past year.
