What are peoples take on tiger brands. Fairly poor numbers and the share has run hard. Ripe for a short?
Ditto strydomk
Maybe some of the more accountancy savvie forumers can explain how they impair R850mil & that's good....?
DFM acquisition is bleeding heavily without a real plan in place to repair it.
Plus read somewhere Dangote himself is expanding his agri empire alongside his previous company..!
Watching closely nothing to stop it breaching R300+ will take first short @ R305ish should it get there.
Anyone need a heads up...!

Careful of shorting Tiger, although it appears to be in the upper sector of its trading channel, Sharenet generated a buy signal for TBS on 2014-05-15.
I am sorry I did not observe and action the sell signal for CML on 2014-05-14, I would be 9% to the good now.

Imperial directors selling some more shares....
Momentum on this share seems to be on the upside, I have been squeezed out of shorts 3 times on IPL in the last couple of weeks, today's drop prob linked more to possibility of interest rate hike than director sales, some directors have been buying lately too.
Stochastic shows overbought, RSI shows neg divergence, but eish shorting a share with an 11pe in a bull market??, got my ass handed to me on this one so far.

Looking at going into a six months long on Sibanye Gold, target R40. Share looks like it has legs. Any view please?
Well I am in Rookie16, long @ 2869 + @ 2881, close @ 2900 so I am "in the money" for now

all CML good news is already factored into the share price, there are no secrets in this business, so what has been put out is no longer news, should they not deliver what has been intimated the share price shall go down (same as Vodacom).
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, and further to the
SENS announcement of 9 April 2014, Coronation is pleased to report to
shareholders that earnings per share and headline earnings per share for the
half year ended 31 March 2014 are expected to be between 45% and 65% higher
than those for the prior comparable period. Diluted headline earnings per
share are expected to be between 60% and 80% higher than those for the prior
comparable period.
Coronation?s results for the half year ended 31 March 2014 will be released
on or about 20 May 2014.

Thanks, I know, but what are the analysts'/market's expectations? Surely not what's in the SENS only?!
Usually CML sells off on results because the CEO talks the share down. Its a routine. The smart money buys that dip. This has shown time and again to work out well.
Remember the market is fwd looking so we need to see what's happening with OPEX and AUM growth internationally. For me I want to see strong international growth coming through. This will serve to further de-risk my current (overly heavy) holdings in CML.

Totally mad with Monday meetings which dragged me away from my intention to go Long on Sibanye, woke up at 4.55 and placed a call for the auction and put a limit of 2873, missed it by two cents @ 2875
Damn

Guys, where does one get analysts' expectations of company results? Been looking everywhere and no success (although investing.com is helpful with overseas shares). My specific interest is CML this week...
Maybe start a new thread?

A cursory inspection of the graph shows an enormous sudden volume, probably three times it's average volume of trade, so that imbues one with a satisfying warm feeling for a long (dispensing with a need for sleeping pills is important). Check the link, I think I shall join you on this one.

Must add that the results for CML is due any day now. I thought it would be this week. The divi should attract more buyers.
I started here with nothing and still have most of it left.
