Boet I never post incorrect info...go and read the broker reports...market was looking for CHF1.10 to CHF1.15 divi and they came in at 1.40.

 

Re Tencent...why would I thumbsuck...if you paid any attention you would know that there was overnight a 5 for 1 stock split and that the new shares post split is now trading under a new ticker ie 2988 HK...stock now up around 6%

Difficult to see how tomorrow's full year results can be a positive catalyst...unless they surprise on the dividend like last year

See what the reaction is to the actual terms of the WHL rights offer.  Most likely some dilution effect to set in. If so, it will be a "sell the rumour and sell the fact"

ABL is like see-saw
People could have made some easy money today if they took a risk 

Not sure the reward justify the risk if you play it from the long side...the only people that made money on ABL over last 18 months are the shorts.

Lots of noise regarding WHL, after all is said its still trading around levels seen 7 months ago... Negative divergence on RSI, volumes on the low side, recent high around R81 - R82 not broken. Heavily reliant on consumer spending and rate cycle, lots of work to be done on Australian acquisition, global bull market in final stages...

Regarding WHL,
Could it be that the previous drop in the price was due to the news of the rights issue moreso than the acquisition, and that it will not fall when the rights issue is processed, as it seems has happened with ABIL?

7780 is a strong resistance. Should one hold shorts if it goes over 7800 or bail out?

watch for the HS on weekly chart...i know it is a LT frame though.
