I bought DSY @ R75 last week only to see it drop to R70+change.
Now had I bought @ the low I probably would of sold out today @ R78+change.
Just a thought going through my head as I read your post.
Good volumes today & all above R76 so decent close & tomorrow's another day.

whats god abt the results? At a pe of 20 they shud be increasing bottom line at over 30% which they didnt!!! Markets base current price on future prospects and that loks bleak!!! SHort any bounce
I see your "I told you so" and raise it with another WHL long at 58.80.
Risk vs reward on the trade still makes sense if support holds up.
Anyway, SL in at 57.75.

Anyone have an idea why Telkom was just suddenly sold off? Can't find anything specific...

Nonsense..
In this crappy market they were able to grow sales pretty well AND take market share. Therefore when the markets pick up they would be well positioned to capitalise and leverage this. If your idea of 'future' is 3-6 months then I might agree with you, otherwise not.
Fact is, black middle class is still growing and far from saturated. This is the key driver to Woolies future growth in SA.
Only thing about these results that worry me are the rapid rise in impairments.

WHL like MPC could turn out to be the retailers of choice for those wishing exposure to the sector.
If R58 goes convincingly either today or tomorrow then it joins the likes of Spar / Shoprite etc...thus sector specific not counter specific.
My 2c
Which could buy a lot more this time last year.....
Anyone need a heads up...!

lol, I got in too early BUT, I am ready to double up at 59.
If it breaks the 58 support after this update then I would be mighty surprised.
Anyway, DSY just shot through 78...lets see if it holds, I am ready to double up on this one to ride it to 84

Guess I agree; got my order in @6030, for 700 points limit
Had a chance to read the results properly. Suspect the market is eyeing the increase in impairments
