I added some Redefine International recently. The share is fully value imo

but its mostly to hedge myself against our worthless rand.

Looking to add HUG to my LT portfolio. Strong growth and increase in sales as well as significant capital injections over the past few months (rights offer and loan agreements). Also Peregrine has acquired a 15% stake recently. Not sure whether to wait for a dip and risk missing out on the move when the trading update comes out, or to enter now...

Do not try and bend the market. That's impossible. Instead... only try to realize the truth. Then you'll see, that it is not the market that bends, it is only yourself.

-all the best.

I added some OML during the pull back - seems like it's slightly on the cheap side with a healthy dividend.

bumping up to the first page...

Anyway,

Have some cash available that I want to convert into more equity. Looking at a few options for LTP.

New additions: (all large caps)

CFR - recent pull back, good R hedge, picked this week by top US analyst as one of his top 3 global buys.

SOL - recent pull back, oil price will recover, recent LT investments made(BUT will only show returns in 2-3 yrs time)

OML - recent pull back, dividend play, trading at a discount to embedded value

SAB - recent pull back, good R hedge, also good market hedge(people will always drink beer), has always been my favourite SA share that I don't own(expensive atm...)

Adding more of:

ZED

SHF

APN

- all because of LT prospects that I believe in. and excellent management.

Orrrr... more ADI...?

cant fault any of those stocks on long term play.

These are all great picks in my view. You will probably see more short term gains in ADI but in my opinion long term APN and Steinhoff will do much better. ADI is running at the moment. who know how high it will go. Being a LT investor i prefer the APN of SHF

Hi Guys

Eventually decided to end my nightmare and sell KIO at a 30% loss, sometimes you just have to take a bullet (lesson learnt). Added some CFR and Woolies to my portfolio

LT Portfolio as it stands:

 • CFR 10% - Bought today at R91
 • WHL 10% - Bought today at R68
 • IPL 10% - Weighted cost price R190
 • SHF 10% - Weighted cost price R51
 • ADI 10% - Weighted cost price R6.50
 • FGL 10% - Weighted cost proce R2.70
 • DSY 20% - Weighted cost price R80
 • Cash 10%

Any thoughts and criticism welcome.

Eish...know the feeling. Also had to cut my losses on ASR.

Nice portfolio. WHL is good value at the current price. ADI & FGL hopefully turns out to be ten baggers. DSY is a nice and reliable share with good constant growth.

So, with the market coming down a bit this is probably as good as time as ever to add to some positions. I've took the opportunity to add to WSL last week.

Where you guys adding?

Yes but you need to carefully pick your stocks here. Overall market is high but if you adding quality stocks with ex-SA footprint you should be be good.

IMO the market can never be to high to add to your LONG term portfolio

I don't think it's a good time to add just yet. Market is unsure of itself. Give a few weeks thought.

Sent from my D5503 using Sharenet Sharechat mobile app

My posts are my opinion and shouldn't be seen as investment advise from me or the view of the organisation I work for.
