Stepping back a little gives the view for the Primary 5th wave progress. Now it is seen that it is more probable that Intermediate wave (3) has extended and now concluded. Even so (3) is still less than (1) which requires that (5) must be less than (3).

The signaled top has become the top of the first half of wave (5). The Fed holds and signals this year for a commence of the next taper caper. So its more of the same until they say it isn’t. This syncs with the chart arriving at the extension option point for Intermediate wave (5) where the oversold daily RSI predicted this outcome. The target is obtained by appending (5)x to (5)y. The target time frame to conclude this bull trend is between 5 and 7 months suggesting obstacles ahead for the Fed and then the arrival of some sudden disconnect that greatly upsets this absurdly and endlessly mismanaged apple cart.

This daily chart of the J258 index has produced a complex sideways correction that has briefly entered Intermediate wave (1). Accordingly this is seen as a 3rd wave transition into extension. The extension is presently negotiating its Minor 3rd wave where the construct of (3)x is suggesting how this extension will evolve.

This daily chart of the Nymex Platinum sees the extension of the correction to a 50% retracement of the preceding uptrend. Now the RSI has produced a distinctive positive divergence to punctuate the turning point. Both this count and the extended location of (3)y of the previous one of 1st July can be valid until one of them is proven otherwise.

Despite the US markets defying both logic and technical analysis, it remains traditional to perform attempts of analysis. Here it is seen that Primary wave [5] has produced around a 100% price action in around 15 months. Not often seen for a major index. But with the extensive and ongoing use of previously illegal, zombie-creating buy-backs we are seeing no end to the supporting new order / deepening cesspit. As the completion of Cycle III approaches it is prudent to note that the correction target is the lower end of the lower order 4th wave at [4].

Platinum is in a bull Cycle since March 2020 following a preceding bear Cycle of 9 years duration. The momentum into the recent top at (3)x has taken the monthly RSI to the upper boundary. The RSI of the daily chart, as presented here, along with the support from December 2020 and the noted Fib ratio, indicates that an arresting of the correction that started in February has most probably now occurred. The 3rd wave extensions within the pattern analysis are a product of the momentum strength during this new Cycle birthing phase. (The extensions have transitioning pullbacks in the the middle of the wave pattern) The target for (3) is obtained by adding the price change between (2) and (3)x to (3)y. It appears that we should listen to Neil Froneman when he talks about the prospect of a commodity Supercycle.
