All indexes are recovering.   Resources 10 now only 451 down.  Top 40 35 down.  Should have taken the signal but was a bit sceptic.

basically this last cut is the type of trade we want..

all the other signals need to be filtered out!!

I would say that if the EMA 34 is sloping done wait for the SMA3 to cross the EMA34 before going long…?

Sorry guys I forgot to say ihave cleaned out the 3 and 10day smas from my chart...That 3 day 10 day cut was a waste I think!!

 

Simpler, clearer and cleaner chart to use I think!!

i think it is a more risky trade, more risk less reward. So it depends on ur appetite for risk

and which basically means you would have not taken this last signal 3 min ago which looks like a winner

Something to consider.   Resources 10 index over 600 points down a couple of minutes ago.   Top 40 120 points down.   I am waiting patiently for the right signal.

Yup, I would agree with Qbre77. 34EMA was sloping down.

Studying the chart from 9.45am...we had 2 breaks above 0cci for longs:

 

First one was a false break..cci went to 43 and reversed down again without any profits

 

Second one broke above 0..cci went to 129 and then down agin below 0..profitable trade but limited profits!!

 

 

We need to filter out these type of trades....How do we do this? anyone??

 

I know exactly what happened for both trades and can identify the filter  but now I want to test the class.....

studying charts today I noticed 2 things that is very important which may require a change to the rules on the 5 min Alsi trades.. Anyone noticed this?

Studying the chart from 9.45am...we had 2 breaks above 0cci for longs:

 

First one was a false break..cci went to 43 and reversed down again without any profits

 

Second one broke above 0..cci went to 129 and then down agin below 0..profitable trade but limited profits!!

Remember both were more than 45 degrees cut so it met our parameters to trade long.

 

We need to filter out these type of trades....How do we do this? anyone??

Trading is easy,sticking to the rules and patience is the difficult part. Ive seen over the past few days there is almost always a good entry point before opening, flat until around 13:30 and then again a good oportunity before US opens. 2-3 decent trades a day. Discipline!! dont jump the gun. Now only to teach myself to do it

For what it is worth, IG will be paying a 5 point dividend today at 16:50. I find it really irritating that one has to contact them to hear about dividends.
