Morning HDB, I trade from the Velocity Platform.  I used your suggested SMA's 3-10-34 and 204.  Timeframe on daily.  CFR, CML and a whole lot more showed the slightest difference in accuracy.

i just meant the gap from yesterdays close not from yesterdays open, which has been closed now. hopefully long entry gonna come now

Hi HDB,  not sure, but if one adjusted the cci to 26 for CFD's it gives one a more accurate indication on the direction.  I tried to attach a chart to show you but having difficulty doing so.  What I did find was the 26 day and 20 day cci are almost similar on some CFD's but the 26 day is a touch more accurate.  Hope it helps.  If you agree, then maybe we can add this bit of info to your original set of rules.  I really appreciate you sharing this new system because I am already in profit with one of my trades I did using your system.  Many thanks. Glad u tweaked it to work for u. What time frame and MAs did you use?

Tell you what Bev give me the name of the share ( You can PM it to me if you do not want to post it here) and i will look it at properly over the weekend to confirm if 26 will work. Maybe different shares will suit slightly different CCI's. Also you did use IG 24hrs chating right?

 

Anyway thanks for sharing and you more than welcome for me sharing my system. As long as members contribute to testing and tweaking it, im more than happy because im  in the learning more about it as well. 

 

Remember the easier the system the easier it works, Instead of putting 10 different indicators for confirming signals...that just confuses the system and the evrerybody using it and makes it harder to understand!!

Hi HDB,  I am not sure, and hope I back tested it enough to confirm my statement, so would appreciate your input regarding the timeframe on the cci for CFD trading.  I used the 26 day cci and found it gave a more accurate direction.  The 20 day cci was very similar, but not as accurate as the 26 day.  I also tried attaching a chart but have difficulty doing so.   Thank you for sharing your system with us.  I have used it on my last trade and must inform you that I am in profit.  Well done. X

Finally back infront of a screen, how has the system been going today? Strong up day so I would guess very well!!

worked well in morning till 11pm...then sideways market!! no another long  but not looking too good!!
