Yup, don't understand it but the fact speaks for itself. Good thing is that the share is not as volutile with every bit of news as it was before.
In my opinion definately maturing with more stable investors understanding the future value and hence the steady slow climb.
I feel we can anticipate some major increases in the share price as the Company achieves its milestones, all of which it has slowly been chiseling away and concluding.
Although Management could certainly have done a better job with more enthusiastic press communication, they cetainly have been succesful in turning this massive 'ship' around and nearly have it out of storm. Patience is what we all need, this share is going to be our "Sasol" !!!

Yup. The threat from non-settlement still looms large and institutional investors are not allowed to touch the share so there simply is too little demand to significantly and permanently shift the price.

It's like the entire market is holding it's breath on this share and refuses to even let good news cause too much of a difference until some form of finalization comes on the Global settlement.

Really good performance.
net debt took a massive nose dive:
Strong cash generation during the period facilitated reduction in net debt to R6.1 billion at 31 March 2021 compared to R14.1 billion at 31 March 2020 (including discontinued operations).
This included settlement of the last remaining preference share funding of R2.0 billion during the period.
Also really good news:
Pepkor hereby advises shareholders and noteholders that a reasonable degree of certainty exists that its earnings per share (“EPS”) and headline earnings per share (“HEPS”) for the six months ended 31 March 2021 will increase by at least 20% as set out below. Both EPS and HEPS in the comparable period have been adjusted to reflect The Building Company as a discontinued operation.
Continuing operations:
– EPS is expected to increase by at least 8.8 cents (20%) when compared to the EPS of 43.8 cents reported for the comparable period; and
– HEPS is expected to increase by at least 9.1 cents (20%) when compared to the HEPS of 45.6 cents reported for the comparable period.
Including discontinued operations:
– EPS is expected to increase by at least 8.5 cents (20%) when compared to the EPS of 42.6 cents reported for the comparable period; and
– HEPS is expected to increase by at least 8.9 cents (20%) when compared to the HEPS of 44.5 cents reported for the comparable period.

This is how negative the SA press is to Steinhoff.
An articla from Business Day: https://www.business...count-retailer/
Starts off with the usual negativity:
"Steinhoff International, which is still battling to recover from the accounting scandal that cost investors billions of rand just more than three years ago, will proceed with the listing of its European discount retailer after getting approval from its creditors."
Then a article from the UK: https://www.retailga...market-listing/
Starts off with this:

I wonder what the value of the 15% stake that SNH intend to sell in Pepco. Will bring and what they will use that money for. I would hope it will be used to settle debt!
I believe they going sell about 30% of PEPCO for Eur 1.6 Bil to pay debt down. I believe they will also sell part of Greenlit Brands, Pepkor and Mattress firm so the debt can be lowered in preparation to the third step the financial restructuring where the debt will be converted to cheaper interest rates. I think they need to reduce the Eur 9.2 Bil debt to something like Eur4 Bil. Maybe Andi can also give his thoughts!!

June is still some ways off. When all the Settlements are done it will start to look better. Intend to float isn't floating yet. Much like ... I can't go buy a bakkie on the possibility of SNH hitting R10. So it is news, but there are still some loopholes and red tape to jump through. Suppose that is what is suppressing the share price still.
ITF stands for an ‘Intention To Float’ announcement. This announcement is made by the company when it is confident that it will proceed with the offering of shares. The publication of the ITF also typically starts the public marketing phase of the IPO. The ITF includes key information pertaining to the company and the IPO, and will also be made available to SyndicateRoom members as part of the company’s marketing materials. The Prospectus is typically published two weeks after the ITF is announced.
