At this point it can go either way. It all depends on litigation. It can double or tripple in a day or it can go to zero in a day. Who knows haha

Again there is a lot of negativity surrounding Steinhoff and this might even press the share price to even lower levels. I mean just looking at the AGM only 13% of the shareholders were present. This means that more than 87% of the shares are in free float. For a global company like Steinhoff this is absolute crazy. This means that jittery and frustrated shareholders currently are determining the share price.
How can this change and what needs to be done to attract bigger long term institutional investors?
- The most important point at this stage is to solve the legal claims. If this crucial point is not solved Steinhoff will run into liquidation as legal costs and uncertainty will destroy the remaining value in the company and the only guys who will benefit from this are the lenders.
- Steinhoff has made a huge step by proposing the global settlement. I do hope that 75% do vote for this proposal. It will be in the best interest of all parties in my opinion and also VEB has stated this as well. Hopefully Wiese and others will follow. I think we will still get an update in this regard this month. I personally think the proposal came at the best possible time. Steinhoff was able to act poor, give negative outlooks due to COVID-19, write off all possible values according to standards and on top of it now book in the provision to make it look even worse. Also LdP is acting very wisely by not promoting the future of Steinhoff but rather explain in very much detail that if the legal claims are not settled by the proposal Steinhoff might go into liquidation. I think he has mentioned this numerous times in the AGM. Yes, shareholders don’t want to hear such kind of negativity, however this is the only way to settle the legal claims at a reasonable price. Trust me, if this proposal will be passed and the legal claims are settled LdP and Steinhoff will be promoting the future in way different terms and that’s when we as Shareholders will start to make gains in my opinion.
- Also if the legal claims are solved the major points for a clean audit opinion will be resolved. Once Steinhoff receives a clean audit opinion big institutions will start to give ratings and will make valuations etc. Then big investors will try to jump onto the boat to get the gains.
- Step 3 will then be to reduce debt to an acceptable low level. Here again the legal claims paint a dark picture to obtain fresh financing. No banks will issue money if they are not certain that Steinhoff will survive. If the legal claims are sorted banks will be able to determine the true value and Steinhoff will be able to obtain much cheaper financing as they do have very strong cash generating operating units of an EBITDA of above 1 Billion €.
The next two to three months will be very interesting. Either you believe in the company and its management or you don’t. Unfortunately at the current share price Steinhoff will most probably be excluded again from the SDAX this month. That’s why I think some kind of sell off is already happening.
Guys this investment is not for the faint hearted investor. But whoever is still invested I do hope our time will come and that we will be rewarded.

Yea barely hanging on 90c, got a taste of the 80c already.... And as per snh diary next results due Jan 2021, nothing expected from now till then so posso ly share price will have a taste of the 70c......unless off course there's a surprise announcement, judging from the pathetic AGM meeting, unlikely a surprise announcement will happen
That 70c is comming faster than I imagined! Sure hope useless LDP has something good to say soon

There is downward pressure on the share and there is also someone wanting to buy hopefully this stabilizes share above 85c else we will see support levels tested until the next piece of good news
For those invested or rather for myself. A calming factor related to dad and andis post previously where they demonstrated the cash available, and the euros during a pepko listing will cover a major proportion of debt at ĺeast 70 percent..and now with claims settled...we have a salvaged company that should reach sufficient value in time, but not at its stupendous highs as before...

You're not wrong. They have been terrible at sticking to commitments and I'm not sure I would have made a commitment on a settlement objective of 4-6 weeks on something so up in the air.
This fortunately does not change the fact that it will unlock enormous value IF and when it does come through. I for one will be here waiting. Getting poorer in the short-term but hoping to see the fruits of my patience in the long term.

What's regrettable is the people that kept posting during 2019 and 2020 that SNH is improving and improving all over, and when the results of FY2019 and HY2020 came they were the most shocking and horrible results that can be.
Some were posting that Steinhoff is improving even back in 2018, but maybe that time things weren't clear.
Giving half of MF in exchange of a small 300 million USD debt that needs to be paid back with interest.
The turning around that was promised, turned out to be a semi fire sale of assets at loss, and if such assets are bought then it indicates someone thinks they can be profitable.
Tom I think you once more puting your blinkers on and bending the truth again. If you well recall from my side always been saying that the road was to stabilize the business (CVA was successfully implemented) get rid of loss making business and turn around the ones that can be save. MF is a perfect example at the time they had two option 1) declare MF broke then lose everything or 2) Do the deal they did and retain the 50%. MF is well in the way for recovery and in time it SNH ownership will be with $2 Bil. So for me a excellent result carried out to perfection.
The Uk business was also loss making that was sold in time without being a fire sale again well performed work. The Aussie business exactly the same all loss making business now gone and possible IPO of Fantastic for AUD1 bil. Surely you need to agree a excellent turn around. Pepkor got rid of their building business again well times for a good price under the circumstances. Then lastly the useless Conforama has now nearly been sold much better than going bust so whats left?
All profitable business and PEPCO growing fast so how on earth can you guys still cannot see this? SNH is by far in much better position and the extension of the credit until 2023 will allow PEPCO to grow and last year the IPO was estimated at E4.5 bil so by 2023 it can well fetch E5.5 bil because EBITDA growing at 14%.
So TOM before blasting all kinds of sentimental statements do you homework and talk facts.
