Going to be an Interesting trade day tommorrow :D

Haha you hoping I believe it will be uneventful. Good news in SNH leaks a few day before it comes out. But I agree could be interesting.

There will be no pump until next news about claims settled. Then Nav will go from about E-1.08/ share to E0,5 (just very rough estimate) overnight because the risk of litigation is gone then just the debt to deal with. The day that happens I expect SNH will jump over 100%. Ho I love green beer!!!

Theres some very sour grapes here. Reminds me of Polly before he was banned.

Just ignore him. He could still be right but the approach isn't constructive.

Why are they buying it at 95c if the correct value is zero.

Steinhoff: in the dark, still
Crucial reports which contain detailed information about how the fraud took place and who is responsible are still not publicly available

How can shareholders make an informed decision if they’re being kept in the dark?

what about shareholders having all the facts? What about the public interest in finding out who is responsible for one of SA’s largest financial crimes?

African Rainbow Capital’s Johan van Zyl told CNBC he’d seen the report, which revealed "fraud on a massive scale".

In particular, Mazars said there were still not audited financial statements for the 2017 and 2018 financial years — the years before and after news of the fraud broke.

It means Steinhoff’s shareholders are being kept in the dark while being told the settlement is the best they can hope for. No doubt Deloitte will be all too happy to see a deal go through and questions about its complicity dissipate.

But where does this leave investors and pensioners, who carry the burden of unchecked corporate greed?

In the announcement of the settlement, Steinhoff advises shareholders to get legal and financial advice before making a decision. But if the company truly wants shareholders to make an informed choice, it can start by releasing the information it is hiding.

All so Quite ???

Anybody have any views on what announcements (if any) we can expect from the AGM on Friday?

I am hoping that they give some finality and clarity on the settlement of claims as well as confirmation of the refinancing at lower rates of creditors.

Hopefully also some direction on the future and timing of IPO's related to Pepco and Greenlit and when we can see Mattress Firm back on the balance sheet.

Why the market is down yet today for a third day?

Are they not happy with level 2 ?

Or was the market over bought in the past months ? (I think it should be less than 50, while it's 55 now)

Or just just random movement of the price ?

Or sell off to make profit ?

Or do they prefer to buy gold, euro, dollar or cryptocurrency? (all too expensive now)

Or do they prefer to buy housing properties ?

Or do they prefer to lend their money out ?

Or what else ?

Tom the movements we seeing is just done by day trading not long term investment. The value is on the eye of the holder so if you feel the real value is zero then stay away sell and run for the hill. However if you believe that SNH has fine business growing very well in a European market with 600 mil people, one of the top Mattress business in a growing economy then you may find 93 cents is actually a give away in time. Investing is the ability to see through the noise.

To add to this a few years back Lonmin was going bust and would not survived however if you kept the share today they with over R50 because you would have got SGL shares.
