Hi LarryK, I dont have the right to share charts sorry. But it broke lots of resistant levels today. The most important one for me was at 0.062€. Next will be around 0.07€. If we end green today we might see the upswing go into next week. But if it drops below these levels it might drop further.

Hi IN, that is a really hard question as there are numerous claims against Steinhoff. However if CW claim and the shareholder claims are solved or settled at a reasonable percentage of the initial claim (5-10%) I see the value of the operating units (inlc. debt) in Steinhoff at around 0.55 €. However that's just my personal view and calculation.

@Bubble, you got it spot on, everything below 10% would mean Steinhoff has a future. I think total claims launched against Steinhoff amount to roughly 12 Billion. So if we can see 0.7 to 1.2 Billion settlements there will be some value left for Shareholders.

However as Bubble mentioned if the settlement value will be around 50% (6 billion), Steinhoff could close their doors today.

As mentioned by LdP the most important part is to get the litigation out of the way. If the litigation's are solved, it will most probably lead to a clean audit opinion, which will also help to refinance at way lower interest rates. All this will then lead to big investors jump into this share.

Seeing hesitancy and opportunistic buys, will see more staggered ups and downs and increasing volumes awaiting the settlement......

Andi... All... Hypothetically if there is a settlement... Where would you see this share range bound...

Depending on the settlement %.

My view, anything around and below 10% is good. North of that is a worry. In the unlikely event of 50% it is lights out.

No news bubble, some recon it might have been due to settlements, some recon it might have been due to refinancing.

As I mentioned before, management is doing their utmost best to restore shareholders value.

So time will tell. Chart is now on our side again if we end green end of today

Anybody know why the increase

- 52 mil share traded on Tradegate yesterday, but low volume in SA. Do they know something we do not?

- Sarel Oberholster reckon it might be short squeeze based on feedback on litigation settlement. With nothing the downward trend will reset. Feedback due 30 Nov.

- Some say it has to do with very high volume trading on the Pepkor closing auction from 3 days ago.

- SNH taking script as oppose to Divi.(Could this be them giving back CW some of his crown jewel)

Views pls.

Lets hope the Black Friday discount does not come into play today!!

Yes guys if you are in this alteast give the new management time until end of 2021.

They are working really hard to get this company back to profits and so far they have done an exceptional job in this extreme complex environment and numerous jurisdictions they have to deal with.

Yeah agreed IN, steinhoff got rid of basically all loss making operating units. For 2020 there will be a huge EBITDA.

I dont know if you have noticed, but Steinhoff has elected to receive the dividends from Pepkor in script. Meaning they getting shares. Just another indication that Steinhoff is sitting on a huge amount of cash at the moment.

Regarding the claims. The end of the month will be am interesting as litigants can elect to receive 20% of Pepkors value. Round about 700 Million euro. Total litigants claims are around 7 Billion euro apparently. So they would receive 10% which in my opinion is a nice deal for them and the lawyers.
Unfortunately I think that this settlement does not include CW claim. However some rumours are out that CW and Steinhoff already found a settlement they just waiting for the other litigations to finalize. But time will tell.

I dont know if you have seen the huge volumes at Pepkor today? 82 million shares traded. Might be in connection with the claims.

Extraordinary results from Pepkor given the current market environment in Africa. Pepkor alone will contribute to over 500 Mil € EBITDA for Steinhoffs financials.

Absolutely good results bodes well for snh, every penny counts.

Andy are there any reports that we should expect feedback on settlement discussions by end nov

Very bad and horrible results from PEPKOR, and obviously they are trying to raise funds in every desperate way that can be including questionable ways.

And this is one of a very few Steinhoff business units that relatively preform not as bad as the other loss making units, and yet coming with this bad performance.

Back in 2008 the management said that the (loss making) business units were a turn around opportunities, and yet we see the perfoming ones turning around down words, and we see them now selling (at loss) these so called "turn around opportunities", and so from where will they pay the huge debt interest (that they caused with their lock up agreement that they worked upon but later realized that they should change it to CVA) if they are not able (they haven't yet) to do any turn arounds, and they selling at loss just to get some cash to pay the fat salaries and to keep afloat (for no purpose other than buying time).

For those that lost money in the bankrupt Ponzi Scheme of Steinhoff, the best way to recover your money is by joining the court cases against Steinhoff and all other fraudsters, reckless and negligent individuals and entities that were/are involved this Ponzi Scheme of fraud and lies.

Morning,

Might have missed the post, but any news on the 2019 Annual report. Will it be out in normal time?

Hey Bubble,

Short answer 30 April 2020.

Steinhoff advised that they need time to allow the new auditors appointed this month to review the financials and pronounce.

Personally, I think that that there is a possibility that it may even be delayed beyond this date, as I cannot see Mazars going through such complex financials in 3 or 4 months.

Best Regards

Captainfrom82

Sorry Wiese has around 300 Million shares. So big investors have around 1.1 Billion shares. Representing around 25%. Same as the ones represented at the AGM and EGM. 75% is therefore in free float or should I say emotional shareholders.
