Good post but lets take a good look at a number of shares in the JSE what happen to them???

100% DTD, and some will take this in their stride, and can wait a few years.

As I did mention my post is a bit silly, because one must not become emotional about investing.

I do however have no doubt that there are others like me that believed so much in this rebirth of the SP, that debt was incurred to by shares.

I would not have been able to wait till 2021 with the hope of survival, would have been hoped that CVA finalisation at lest take Sp back to R3 or above.

I believe the original SP of SNH pre Bolt-From-The-Blue must have been materially to high.

The drop in SP is just not equal to or nearly close to a drop in performance or a rise in debt.

On this basis a documented guarantee of medium term survival should have force some recovery in my opinion.

The court cases never bothered me to much.

It's just to unlikely that the court will bankrupt other shareholders for the advantage of certain.

The debt burden is however a massive problem.

Any case, I've long ago withdrawn from the thread.

I just honestly felt that I wanted to extend condolences/thoughts for even one person that reads my post and am in the same emotional position at the moment that I would certainly have been in if I was still invested.

Have a good day.

I am saying this with the sincerest of intentions, that I really feel for anyone still invested in SNH.

I held about 160k shares and made a bad loss, but sold out a few months ago cause the amount of debt just scared me.

I remember just trying to hold onto the next milestone for this ship to turn around.

AFS came and went, nothing.

I was surely believing that the CVA implementation would help with stability, and a rise.

And now the drop.

At the moment I just cannot see this SP rising in medium term.

LdP confirmed that the Interest will only be renegotiated after three years, and that it's not sustainable to cover that debt, or what will remain.

I believe the company can make it, but you will need to now be in this for at least a few years I believe. - and the risk is just enormous.

For some, this will not be a problem.

Stock investing should obviously not be emotional, etc. etc.

Buying into a stock such as SNH can however not be done without an element of Hope, and strong Beliefs in certain outcomes.

I remember doing hours of research, reading the threads of Sarel, and just honestly believing that this will work out in a few months

Hence, as ridiculous as I know this sound, I honestly would like to extend condolences that things are playing out this way.

Hoping for miracle for everyone invested here!!

Think IPOs at this point may be disastrous:  Because of market perception will have to IPO at extreme discounted share price value.  Personally suspect that there will first be the trimming of resources in France.

Secondly, get to a plausible and sustainable settlement agreement with inbound litigation.

Rebuild market and shareholder credibility and then get bailout from investors (IPO)

In the mean time may refinance at lower interest rates scaling down as risk reduce.

I believe the IPO for PEP EU will happen in 2021 November  by that time EBITDA would be around  E530 mil and at a multiple of 12 would give a value of E6.3 bil and if they give away 30% would net E1.9 bil thus helping to pay the interest per kind.

In view that there is now interest rate cuts surely SNH will be able to get loans at lower rate than the 10%.

Thanks JK yes I also heard but a reality is what is left that they have to pay debt that he said is too high? I think they waiting for Brexit to get finalised then they will press the GO button.

I believe IPO is to paydown debt and restructure to a Investing Holding company. Greenlit will also list sometime next year I guess. There was already people interested in buying in.

The settlement will be advised especially for law suit in Germany. The quantum of the settlement is the issue and it won't be representative of the complete value lost but cents on the Rand... Better than cents on the euro....
Imagine the slate clean, the company will be well positioned to focus on growth and paying debt. The share price will quadruple...
Dupree said... Strategic settlement... If I recall... Old age getting to me...

Why do you think there will be a settlement?

In my previous post you could see that Shareholders claimed 50 Billion dollars against Bank of America. They got 2.5 Billion dollars which didn't even cover the lawyers costs. . . So think twice and as Du Preez mentioned who will be sued because I mean if one shareholder bought from another shareholder steinhoff wasn't even involved. . . .

One of the fund managers said it nicely, the current price is basically an option on recovery which is a “coin toss” at the moment. With litigation and debt settlement, there’s zero value left for shareholders today but could change within the next 2 years and therefore all we have at the moment are call options

Yes it is a good way of looking at it. For me the restructure is not just the implementation of the CVA that is the first step (the most important to bring financial stabilisation) think what we all waiting for is how will SNH look like once restructured into a investment holding company.

There has to be IPO of Pepkor Eu and Greenlit Brands.

How is the debt going to be distributed to each unit because when SNH is a Investment Holding company the income is only dividends from its various investment holding.

The price has always been based on the CVA being finalized. (Baked in)
I think it’s only the litigation that is weighing the price down. May see it lift with more progress made on that front.

Polly the troll gave his views why signing of cva will not initiate a pump, sadly he's not here to give further input. Market does not like uncertainty and with this share there is many uncertainties (Quoted Polly) ...theses uncertainties are pointed out in management's report and I'm guessing as they begin striking it off the list, is when this share could turn around

Posting profits does not get rid of these uncertainties
