recent court case has found that South African shareholders cannot sue for what is referred to as ‘reflective’ losses – in other words, a fall in the share price. This is unfortunate news for any Steinhoff shareholder wanting to hold the directors and auditors to account.

Interesting that this paragraph seems to find its way back into the money web article.

Shareholders hopefully will get some retribution. Especially from proven fraud, possible directors liability, and malpractice insurance from delloite. Hopefully snh entity won't be liable for all.

The critical question we have for November is on the restructuring... May be a done deal but there is massive risk with this. If not complete there will certainly be liquidation.... If complete this is step in a right direction which will bring investors back to the share
.. And most certainly post pwc report...

Thanks. 85% of creditors supported the extensions.

Serious investors will get in possibly after q3 results. I think they would want to monitor progress/performance etc.... I doubt they would be eager to jump in too soon.... My opinion

I think it will reach its bottom again at R1,07. Only once numbers are out and audited we will see serious investors getting in and analysis of the share can be made.

I'd not bet on a postponement impo. Downsides 5%, whilst up should be 10 to 15%. Think the 1 month extension should have been well considered.

Where is Investment Novice?

Lion. So far so good... buy this week if there's some bad news. Otherwise I'm thinking this fri. Might be tempted to sell straight after the Lock up agreement, then wait again.

I am trying to avoid rhetoric and assumptions. It's a waiting game. I am still very invested as this is my high risk share. I am happy by the waves recently. Good moves with MF. Legal eagles and share holders have nerves because it's not a straight forward recompense.
If anything shareholders who sold should get on... Existing shareholder should get more... And if there is an amicable settlement shareholders will get more out of a recovery then they would ever out of a settlement....

Please. Don't take my scepticism wrong. Is there any financial info, to the best of our knowledge, that indicates that this share is woth something.

I think if they don't release fy17 as promised they will suspend.

Doubt they will suspend now as they allowed it to run for so long. But anything is possible with this special share

Well, it is on a special price, kinda buy 1 get 20

Yea I prefer if they suspend it instead of allowing it to run... No1 actually knows as there's nothing to go by to determine its true value
