I have my sights set on SGL. I missed the two previous rallies, when it was R7 and when it was R22. I have a gut feeling that this stock might reach R120 by August.

if gold price climbs counters the rand appreciation, which I expect will continue due to global anxiety. Rand though may experience further pressure with outflows and poor gdp data, but may also appreciate if president Zuma relinquashes. Gold mines with hedges are smiling now, I am a Harmony fan, undervalued share in the USA and very volatile, but volatality will abate when larger volumes trade this share. Once average volume of share goes to 20 million traded on NYSE this share will be at least 15 USD. also HAR will soon wipe out debt and pay dividends and will get better market credibility. Now is the time to get in bed with harmony if youre not in already........

Is it just my wishful thinking, or does paper gold seem to have lost some of its infinite pricing power since Shanghai started trading?

 

Be interesting to see how R 'strength' dampens share price gains for local producers, and if this is a small blow-off leading to the much anticipated short term correction in price.
