The main problem that EOH will have now is that they will find it more difficult to raise fund or procure cost effective loans, and given their high debt level, and that they've posted losses in the last 2 financial halves, then the possibility of them running into liquidity problem is real (which can lead to insolvency and bankruptcy), and maybe that's why yesterday the CEO mentioned that EOH is considering to sell some assets (divisions).

they certainly have a knack of talking themselves out these situations....maybe again....

Note how he's not outright denying corruption/fraud.  Also mere fact that they've set up and are investigating deals from the past means they're aware of corruption and are probably expecting more.  Somewhere in article he even says something to the effect that the climate in this country was an excuse / enabler of said corruption.

Any idea why EOH share price has rallied after the fall, so it hasn't totally collapsed yet?

Rally is from demand. Reading through a number analysts interviews they believe the company has value and the issues with gov contracting are rectifiable. And will not bankrupt this firm.

Potentially some other reasons.. That we blind on... Absa has this share at r49 value.... Trading at r12 this morning... Results due March... There may just very well be an upside that buyers willing to risk and hold for two to three years...
