This is a rather interesting study... Fair value versus perceived value and future value...

Share can drop ongoing but expect opposite if there is some clarity... Or even dividends declared in March.
Sec investigation... Not sure the speed of this...
If financials delayed due to issues.. This is a r5 share... Falling knife hey Polly... Perhaps save and try buy once bottomed... Whoever can predict...

They're are not saying "get out", they're are literally saying "exercise caution", which is a vague statement and up for interpretation, which is just to cover themselves.

clever money selling , dumb money buying.....simple
That's exactly what happened in case of Steinhoff, and what's been happening (but on a slower pace) in case of EOH.
The small investors (aka minority investors) are always the last to know, while the job of the JSE is to keep the minority investors protected.

clever money selling , dumb money buying.....simple
having said that , wont be surised if this jumps abck to +R25.00 in 3 months,,
solid company with only 15% of its turnover probably related to govt contracts...
Its happened over and over again where share price crashes and then recover....4 times so far...why not again??
Best to wait a month or 2 for dust to settle and buy in again

Nicky Newton-King said the Steinhoff accounting scandal shows there's a need for more activist shareholding and vigorous oversight by boards. Newton-King was speaking on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos last month.
Shes the main culprit...wants someone else to police the companies when its their responsibility!!!!

Then they should call it Johannesburg Gambling Exchange, not Stock Exchange.
Otherwise the regulators must take responsibility and action against the bad quality companies that list, and waste the investors money in promises and misinformation.
totally agree with you, do not see that happening tho coz the JSE does not loose. JSE is the casino, house always win

I think that the share holders that bought based on false or misleading SENS releases, should be entitled to claim their money back, on every false or misleading SENS release.

I also think that this share is now still carry a lot of risk, I personally am still scared to buy it, with all the allegations' clouds that keep gathering (but as always, this is just how I feel, and the price could go in any direction, up or down).

is this finally management admitting something is wrong???
For me the acknowledgement was glaring when they hired a law firm to investigate. Now the concern is how many deals are tainted? One article mentioned EOH investigating 10 deals with govt.
