JSE, New Gold, GLD (ETF)
Update 29th April: This perspective sees Intermediate wave (3) negotiating Minor wave 3. The pullback here is not expected to exceed a Minute degree of wave order. The unprecedented circumstances show no signs of going away anytime soon.

XAU/USD w/ update
This 15 minute chart sees Minor wave 1 with good impulsive form and wave 2 with good corrective form. Assuming that wave 2 has concluded, the action is expected to be stepping up the pace..

Indicators give the high probability notion that Intermediate wave (2) or A has now concluded.

This weekly analysis reverts to the simple form for Primary wave [2] with a leading diagonal for Intermediate wave (1) and is also looking for [3]

JSE, Gold Mining Index, J150
This chart is showing the Gold Mining index index which has entered Intermediate wave (5) with gusto. The ragged pattern deconstructs into another ending diagonal. The 3rd movement has taken respite at the 27.2% extension of Minor wave 1. The RSI can accommodate a full 4th wave with ease which advises caution with the natural expectations of a minor blip here. A full 4th wave is typically expected to emulate wave 2

XAU/USD Spot Gold ($US/Oz) updated 8th April

Following up on the previous presentation for a compelling completion of Primary wave [4]
Now tracking the progress of Intermediate wave (1) of Primary wave [5] and approaching a prospective double top location for (1). However, with political talk of even more $US Trillions being thrown at the various economic disasters this ride can get very very bumpy.
A period of consolidating consideration is expected to be reflected by Intermediate wave (2) with target 4. However, due to an expected eventual realization that the economic collapse has extremely deep consequences there is a corresponding driver for an ongoing bull trend for gold.

JSE, New Gold, GLD (ETF)
This daily chart suggests the Intermediate wave (3) of Primary wave [3] has now negotiated its mid-wave transition into an extension. It sees wave (1) as a leading diagonal with component wave being an overshoot. It finds that a wave (3) of 1.62 (1) shares its target with a 1.62 x for the extension of Intermediate (3). This picture is looking for Primary wave [3] to be more than 2.27 of wave [1].

What am I missing on the gold miners shares? Surely this cannot be right?

If this abnormality is the new normal I don't think I want to be part of this. It is making no sense and it is f-ing up my budgets and cash-flows.

XAU/USD Spot Gold ($US/Oz)
This bullish view of the chart of weekly spot gold modifies the wave count but still sees the recent correction as a mid-wave 3 transition to extension. The first leg of the expected extended Intermediate (3) can be seen either as a 5-wave impulsive without alternation or as an extended arrangement of impulsive patterns.

Ok, so gold shares up yesterday and today. It still don't really get this. Even if the Gold goes to R1mil an ounc, if the mine is closed, you get noting and most mines already took out hedge/forward cover at certain prices.

I still think the gold mining shares should go down massively. Just my opinion which in these markets does not make sens to me at all. I don't know what to think anymore?!?!?!

The loss of a few weeks production can usually be made up quite quickly if there is higher grade kept in hand for the purpose. The fundamental valuation of a mining company is based on the extent of proven reserves in the ground that are feasible to extract at a cost that is prospectively leaving good room for an ongoing  river of profit. Hedges are manageable. On the other hand punters tend to chase momentum more than fundamentals and assume that the big boys have done their homework.

XAU/USD Spot Gold ($US/Oz)
Update 23rd March:
This monthly chart of the spot price for gold reviews the progress of the Supercycle and questions the probability call of the previous post. The view of a mid-wave transition for the extension of Primary wave [3] is not only typical behaviour for the 3rd wave but it also resolves the lack of correlation with XAU/GBP. Accordingly it is now expected that a replication of the pattern since [2] should emerge when this transition concludes.

https://wavecount.bl...ot-gold_17.html

The J150 index will also align with the application of the same view.

JSE, Gold Mining Index, J150, updated
Update 20th March:
The Bull View:
The blood mentioned in the previous post was evidently insufficient. All that is needed to dispel the rampant fear is a glimmer of hope for survival. But then the damage report will restore the desire for the surviving safe havens, bringing the completion of Primary [3]. But then the fear will return worse than before and the need for cash will drive Primary [4] almost into Primary [1] before it unexpectedly gives way to an irrefutable onset of the systemic collapse and the ultimate driver of a collapsing US Dollar.
Until Primary [5] completes and the Supercycle correction of the Dow finally bottoms out that is.

J150-w-200320.png

Projecting for [3] - the nearest fib ratio of (1) above (4) that will accommodate [4]=[2] is 3.62 at about 5085.
Projecting for [5] - the minimum to accommodate [5]=[1] is at about 5200. The maximum for [5] is infinite and will thereby probably require a new or different method of currency measurement.

XAU/USD Spot Gold - Announcing Primary Wave [5]

This daily view of XAU/USD is with highest probability of announcing the commencement of Primary wave [5] on completion of which is expected the end of Cycle wave V and thereby the end of the first Supercycle for the supposedly free float of gold since 1971. Accordingly it is considered that this prospectively awesome event should become the focus of all astrology and fortune telling.
Unfortunately this pattern for XAU/USD is seen to be some months ahead of XAU/GBP, which is presently quite awkward to fathom and unavoidably distracting.

XAU/USD - Spot Gold updated
Update 13th March..
The view changes as a lower low occurs. Unexpectedly too. This review sees an extension within the final leg of Intermediate (3). Also unexpected. The daily RSI can accommodate more of the same, but that would be favoring the premature arrival of Primary [4] and the 4's prefer proximity with each other. But that would not be unexpected.
