JSE, Gold Mining Index, J150

This 4-hourly chart sees the commence of Minor wave 3 of Intermediate wave (5). This is all within Primary wave [3].  The break of the resistance line will confirm that this is Minor wave 3 action.

 Gold Spot XAU/USD
The updated hourly view provides an exercise in application and indicates that the delayed breakout is mustering.
For those invested in the Old Mutual Gold Fund there is little hope of common sense being saved from the mindless actions of the controlling savages. They cannot begin to understand that their best performing fund is still very busy delivering long awaited returns. At the seasonal peak for gold they proceed to abuse their roles and trash their best performing funds. Absolute insanity has become the hallmark of the new and totally incompetent ruling class of South Africa.
And you want to invest in the ongoing and inevitable consequence? Will the political gangsters invest their looted billions. Not a chance.

 Gold Spot XAU/USD
For safe havens it has been sell the rumor. Now its a case of may the best algo win. The seasonal shift is another cup of tea leaves and the silver XAG/USD chart pattern is more compact also supportng the Minor wave 4 breakout expectation.
Below is the daily chart of XAU/USD for the past 12 months where the shift against the seasonal chart can be deciphered.

Just looked this up any opinions? ..my humble opinion is gold going up in next month based on opinion that trade deal phase 1 will either break down or is fairly irrelevant and trouble brewing around the world...if Johnson manages brexit soon I will be astonished .... but I'm not an expert..just been learning the ropes the hard way...Technical outlook

On the daily chart, the XAU/USD pair is looking to end the week below the 20-day SMA. Additionally, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) on the same chart is edging lower below the 50 mark, suggesting that the bearish momentum is building up in the near-term.
The pair could face the support at $1,474 (Oct. 11 low) ahead of $1,465 (Sep. 30 low) and $1,455 (Oct. 1 low). On the upside, $1,500 (psychological level/20-day MA) aligns as the initial resistance ahead of $1,516 (Oct. 10 high) and $1,534 (Aug. 13 high).

XAU/USD is most certainly bullish and this trend is far from complete. This count assumes no alternation will arise with the current correction and addresses that outcome with a step down of the smaller orders within Intermediate wave (3) of Primary [3].

Sitting with drd gold..thank g d equities...not selling at loss..I'll just wait

I you knew Elliott waves like an oarsman then you would gain the edge and have a better understanding for the force that you must float upon or drown.

Find an elderly oarsman or learn to breath underwater.

And so the spat has backfired on orange man - US manufacturing lowest in a decade.  So let's try the math: import goods to make chinese lanterns, Order is still 10K like last month, but due to tariffs now costs X+tarrifs, Customer not willing to pay more, so manufacturing can only make 10K-tarrifs.  But let's blame the FED.  That is how inheritance billionaires turn into squandering millionaires.
