Yes it makes sense thank you. I am going for it. I am shorting  Sibanye Gold.  I think the load shedding and strikes etc… will help me to make a few bucks.  I hope ha ha

Don’t want to wait so long. It rallied so much I thought it will go down because it looks like it’s turning from hitting R15.00. Thanks for the advice

gap trade is risky especially if its not todays gap ..will close but could take an hour, a day , a month , 3 months etc....could go to R20.00 and then reverse to R10.00... so not worth the risk imo..

I see there is a price gap between R 13.27 and R13.42 on Sibanye Gold.  Maybe I can short the share because gap will be closed? Or is the gap to small

“One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. Which road do I take? she asked. Where do you want to go? was his response. I don't know, Alice answered. Then, said the cat, it doesn't matter.” - Lewis Carroll

Insurance has always been a necessary 'grudge' purchase. Its the thought of ending up in ICU which can run in the millions, that gets us lowly medical aid payers

exactly...thats why depends on family medical history and weather you drive like a cowboy!! lol

but remember discovery is not a non profit business...they make money out of u...all monies go into a pool and then depends on your luck i suppose...

question is...do u buy the service or the service provider....

My daughter employed last 10 years and paying discovery..part of her contract is to pay...so far paid in excess of  R300000....so far hasnt claimed or used it yet...If she invested that monthly in discovery shares will be worth a cool million today..No need to use govt hospitals if something happens...pay the private hospital charges and you will be still smiling over the long run...Its purely a risk or something ahappening innyour early years.. Once i finished articles , cancelled my medical and last 30 odd years investing the discovery amount in discovery shares...Guess how much that is worth now... :D

But i suppose it depends on your family medical hostory..My dad turned 85 this year...never wentto hosptial and hardly to doctors entire life besides 3 years ago when contacted TB...heart is absolutely fine...So so far private payments not too bad...max R50000 in charges..So at 85 he saved a packet of medical aid expenses...never had entire life...

Horses for courses i suppose.....nothing about being a burden to the state!!!
