Hi P, re Daw, it makes absolutely no difference if I try to sell daw in smaller batches than whole amount of 1150000, Im correct? as if theres a sell would just activate the amount buyer willing to buy? if I don't sell even if they stop trading daw must pay me 1 c...how do they do this transfer through fnb platform of must you sell prior to the jse shut off date...never been in this situation. Still hoping 1c buyer gets cold feet and someone else steps in.

 

bottom line you will get 1c if you dont sell via JSE...IE 1c net with no costs credited direct to your fnb share account..You do nothing and no need to sell on JSE for the 1c or even inform your broker fnb

 

 

However you can try and sell on JSE @ 2c before the deadline date provided you get taken....if u do get taken at 2c on JSE you will be credited 2c net of sharedealing costs

i have never traded forex and will not in the future...

 

But choice is yours...You make big and can lose big... I have seen guys lose huge amounts.... For a beginner to charting i suggest you keep away...

opinion appreciated, may put out the question on other threads..

head is very cool with shares now,,so can handle shoprite, except when I did the mrp buy buy was instinct,  which worked out ok,,lucky...What I wanted to ask you is opinion forex trading. I read most people do badly, I have a friend of a friend who will teach me one on one for 350 once a week, a session for 3 months, will also help with general chart reading..He is conservative, stick to rules and can make 2 percent, which is better than wild numbers which wont happen. If there is any best way to trade iyo which way do you think?  ALSI, FOREX what? want increase income, or any other opinions,,I have about 4 hours spare a day,,,run business and have few rental properties but most of work month end. Id like to get into it properly but in a controlled way. not interest in loosing my money. Any opinions, fully understand all my own risk...

Any opinions on Grinrod GND. Slow consistent upward movement last 3 months?

short hostory on GND...was top 100 company( ie ist out of 100 companies) in Sunday Times top 100 companies for 3 years in a  row...listed at R5.00...went to over R200.00...share split 10 to 1....means new price R20.00..

 

price started falling after the 2008 crash when commodities slumped... main income was from shipping.. 

 

at R14.00 remgro bought in a huge chunk...

 

share now split with shipping and logistics separated...

 

been on a strong downward curve since....

It's not very often I manage to get into a share I've been keeping an eye on, just at the right time. Even should SHP drop another 5 - 10 %, IMO, it's still an amazing buy. 

 

I cannot stress enough what an impact the changeover to SAP had to their results. All of that is running as smooth as Black Cat now.
