H2 almost done for ascendis...and we still wait on news..looking forward to anthony clarks post.
Interesting to know and probably only by february how much additional free cash generated as well as debt levels with dollar weakening...maybe the rand breaks 14?? Or holds 14 to 15....perhaps ...there is some hope....sad though the world is in a health chais and there is a new strain which means continued sales ....2021 is the year for oharma companies..we will see better valuations, as many reduce debt...and my AAA will look to get at least 25% gains....hoping right to the end we get a sens.. evennif it is on iverkectin which SA has not endirsed yet, or blocked...but growing international usage...driving shortages..

Hi. I have increased shares in aspen adcock amd ascendis, reduced my weighting on hospital shares significantly for 2021, and held my other spread.
Have commodities and have added ppc to high risk portfolio, to sit next to snh and eoh...waiting for month end of jan to buy more snh and asc

It is way too quiet on the ASC front...management really isn't doing us or the share price any favours. They have been so quiet that I have almost forgotten that news of a potential sale/takeover could break any day...

I also find it hard to believe how "volatile" Aspens share price is at the moment. You would think that the pharmaceutical shares would be steadily climbing during a pandemic.

Google ivermectin amd see the rage globally....its like wild fire...and remeduca sales should go through the roof on this....especially with new strains...added to the treatments apparantly like a cocktail of medication..with vitamins...etc. others to advise.....any contributions to revenue welcomed.

South africa did not commit money to this and mew stràins so.we left in no mans land....uk to go in lock down...
Sa numbers soaring...we can expect 2021 to be worse than 2020 and this infectiin taking longer to burn out..
Impact on markets concermimg...i think pharma will finally stepup as proper defensive , asc aspen adxock..mines for hedging...everything else going to feel the pressure for first 3 months....

What is currently known about this new variant of the SARS-COV-2 Virus- currently termed 501.V2 is that it spreads faster. It is too early to tell its severity and whether the current vaccine will work against this variant. For this reason, we should not panic and continue using the current intervention to stop the spread of #COVID19. #SARSCOV2MediaBriefing

If you ever thought there is a right time to get into asc or aspen.....now is it.....

Interestingly the vaccines are priced pretty well so can't imagine that a lot of money will be made from it.

Rand stregnth bodes well for debt repayment. Very interesting period when excess cssh and sale completion os some small divestments will go to debt repayment. The 200m does not look as menacing now...end H1 looking at a vitalised company..with record gloab sales and nasdive sa demand and ofcourse the qiagen business bringing in some revenue......anthony clarke where are you

Just like the last sens, I get the strong impression that they are trying to keep the share price as low as possible due to a potential sale? Your guess is as good as mine, it is frustrating to say the least.

Considering the lack of sens says to me management asleep and or on holiday. If there were no massive upside potential..i would have dumped this share just on managements communication style...however lets go on.....

Covid is pumping and certainly there are global demands and this should have neccesitate a better sens than morning of agm.....

Hope to see a sens on ivermectin. Apparantly special regulation allows for use in SA. And asc is one of very few companies to produce. Its a cheao production but due to soecial use there would be a premium sales volumes may be low byt expect this to start picking up globaly as more research comes out. May even prevent infection when speaking to a dr, and this could be used year long......anyone have any knowledge....this itself could be a global money spinner if production lines up.....from google cdc not endorsing for use, only for trials. Some countries already using as is SA......if there is a sens on this..expect a nice 30 % pump and probable dump

Enyones bet hey...those capetown beds were better filled but were holding docks...nasrec apparanetly was bigger.
This is fools money....hopefully we smile and not cry....and the adage a fool and his money is soon seperated does not apply.
Watching the market recently...wath arcelo mittal and others....would not mine a computer algorythm to pump this as well followed by the dump..

Seriously though....some big hedges here...do you know what level of shorts are on this share?

Ascendis factory pumping crazy trucks in and out, had an opportunity to drive by...really looking forward to feb production numbers. Everything pumping ventillators etc...heard from coast guys private hospitals and gov setting up new wards 2x more than they had, double the need for ventillators etc...initially thought this may be dead end but seems shortages of equipment....bad for our country good for the business...

Hope we get some news soon, this share is waiting for its time in the sun like many others.....

Brilliant....!!!! :D

Just buy & hold was the call at +R2....

Cape Town turned the Convention Centre into an emergency facility at the onset of Covid with 800bed capacity the most beds they filled was 43....

If you want volume there's 750k available below 80c

Bargain....!!!

Fool/Money well you know how it goes....

Yet another reason to smile...

Ascendis one of a handful of companies that produce this meds. Study out yesterday ....
As we in the peak of winter and expect this disease to run for 2 years despite vaccines , this is a potential revenue stream. Really good news..

Ivermectin, an FDA-approved anti-parasitic agent, was found to be an inhibitor of SARS-CoV-2 replication in the laboratory and a Bangladesh study found that it may be effective for the treatment of early-onset mild Covid-19 in adult patients
