no doubt quite a bit of divergence that needs to play out.... i probably would be pressed to take profit 1000 from here, but temptation would be strong to allow for some more.....
I'm very much on the more side of that trade. Historically an RSI reading over 70 on the daily combined with the top BB being hit generally leads to anything between a 5%-10% in the following few months. That hammer nestling along with nothing but green bars is indeed very ominous.

I may just mention, the inverted hammer formation on the top 40 daily chart surely suggest that there may be a reversal, i suspect as much as 1000+

Wow thanks for that. Your trading system must be really interesting. I'll take 92% anyday
Only a pleasure. hope it helps. All systems needs interpretation, and information can cross each other rather often.... also a lot of upside showing, but i cant see the momentum continuing much longer without a decent retracement happening, maybe 800 to 1000 points. i will use that to take some much wanted relief :-)

I started trading the ALSI in 1997, so i have seen pretty weird things. However, i suspect that some people may have more info on the secret vote, or the market simply already believes that zuma is going. All my systems also indicates huge divergence, rarely seen. the possibility of this whole trade going down is severe, putting it at 92% probability.

Any thoughts on this insanity? Rand goes down 10c we don't move. Up 2c and off we go again. I've been trading the ALSI for 6 years and I've never seen anything like this. Does anybody have anything to add who was trading it when the ALSI crashed back in '07-09?

Yup and oil up 30c. Last week it was the Rand. Euphoria will always find a reason. Then suddenly all those reasons that helped the market rally seem to not matter anymore. Can't say I know where the top is here but the bottom will be even harder to find once it moves.
Tencent though wow. I can see why people would want to pile in Naspers. It's like the greatest company in the history of the world.

S+P500 and FTSE going up...
This is great encouragement for them...

This surely can't be experienced professional buying the shares on the JSE? No experienced professional would buy shares in this environment except Gold shares perhaps.
