Alsi bumping it's head on previous support on >30 min chart

 

Locked in some profit @ 39750.

Risk free from here on in. Trailing stop in place.

The bear took my money today, but i still keep my long.

The bear didnt take my money...he swiped it in a few seconds to the point that my sl kicked in 40 points below what i set it...

Looks like our longs are surviving the storm so far.

To summarise:

Megaphone Top: Rare, longer timeframe pattern - Bulls and Bears fighting it out with higher highs and lower lows until the uncertainty created by the increased volatility results in profit taking. As bullish optism reaches a breaking point and the bears eventually triumph.

What is it called? Megaphone pattern?

 Besides showing increasing volatility, is there any predictive value in a 'backwards wedge' as shown in the pic attached? (daily candles) Is it a pattern which plays out in a documented way?

S, what is the point of having a stop if you open another long only 20 points down? That's the average spread.. Could just as well have left one long open?

Reversal level now 1790

Resistance at 1804, 1810, 1818 and 1828 pivot if you be lucky.
