You are amazing in your predictability, it is like ringing a bell, pull the cord and you get a ding. every time a new users come on and ask questions you get your panties in a bunch. if you disagree with any of the advise given I suggest you offer some of your wisdom, and not in the form of the quatrains you think are so clever. 

I can just imagine you in front of the PC jumping up and down stamping your little foot, so I have to ask, is the problem that advise is given out freely?, Is it that someone may be doing better than you. Wait I have an idea, why don't you go out and start your own group, then you can be the god you think you are and get the respect and honour due to your excellency the trader of note.

One thing that has occurred to me is that if you were the trader you seem to think you are why is it that you still have a day job, surly a trader with your expertise and great prowess should be trading for his own account, and not be working for IG. Or is it that your deep insights and big words are acquired by reading the big word section of the readers digest.

 

If anyone on this group is full of #$%^, it would be the little man shouting from the top of the mountain that does not have the balls to actually trust in his judgement and trade for a living. 

 

So lets see if you can answer this in another 4 line quatrain, show us all your deep meaningful insight, I dare you.

Nothing wrong in having strong views on the market. And its direction. It is done here and certainly makes it more interesting. And can be very helpful, and especially if reasons are given for the opinion/prediction. And very often predictions do prove to be correct. And there are some very good guys here so one can only try to learn from them, But I still feel that some sort of system is the way to go. But believe me I don't have the answers. Otherwise I would not be here.   And I must admit to be mainly a 'lurker' here so not much of a helpful contributor.  But I do trade.  

Everybody here seems helpful to me, except one. But naturally you can't expect everyone to be friendly just because we all trade, people are different, where one person might be glad to see all the comments and try to learn something from the next person, someone else might be irritated and only be concerned with talks about the nitty gritty.

EU CPI was not brilliant so that is not going to push it up, later tonight it is the Turn of the US and they may well have better numbers for CPI and general house keeping information, that will push the US up

If I may ask, brother, how do you "trade the news"? I see you're talking about the EU CPI, does that in any way, shape or form inform your trades? I'm asking this because I personally don't pay any attention to news, I trade purely what's on my chart. I was just wondering how you incorporate news and economic data into your trading system, especially with "good news is bad/good news" and "bad news is good/bad news".

Definitely, to each his own.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank my mother and my father for all that they have done for me throughout my life. I would like to also thank my wife for standing by my side through all the ups and downs that the market has thrown at me. For my two sons i would just like to say that daddy loves you and is still working hard to pay for your university one day. Finally, i would like to thank all of you "Forum Members" who has been here since day one. You always help to make sense of what the market is doing and why it is doing it.

I've lost more money than ANYBODY else on this forum on this beast the ALSI, so definitely don't take my advice. But for what it's worth, I wouldn't trust anybody calling it long at this stage, not with QE ending and the state of our economy. Although GM's got me even more confused.

Yes, I think some people are better inclined to trading than others, like some people are excellent painters, others play the piano well. So I think trading is like this, some people can easily recognize patterns and trends and intuitively know which way to trade it.

And stay away from the 'gurus' who profess to 'know' what the market is going to do. Nobody 'knows' the market. Opinions, systems, strategy's, discussion etc yes. But following a 'knower' or a 'predictor' can only lead to tears.

I don't know much about the fundamentals but I think it all depends on how people interpret the FED meeting, everybody knows the free money has to come to an end, if they think that end is coming sooner than they had hoped then its down down down, this pennant pattern on the chart looks like it wants to break to the upside, though the (13)EMA is getting close to the (48)EMA, if today's close is down then I think it'll cross, and from there its not that far for the (13) to cross below the (100) which would signal an alert. Just my view.
