In order to keep the gravy train growing then the costs of stuff must go up and up. In order to avoid responsibility we must be steadfast and continue to do nothing. This is what we do best. Interest rates will therefor not change for the next 50 years. Now lets have another party.

Connectivity issues for ISP's. I see Vodacom and Telkom going up and down like yoyos.

The Equity market will commence the open auction at 10:15AM, with continuous trading starting at 10:45AM.

Derivatives unknown. Trade with caution.

Thanks Snippit

Was wondering if the JSE company after spending al that money on upgrading their system got ripped off if they were having problems..

Their debt/equity is 1200 odd which I think is sky high..

They will be glad of interest rate cuts.

That was quite a drop on the top 40 at 16:45

Sentiment has changed for some reason.

Anyone care to speculate?

spec·u·late
ˈspekyəˌlāt/
verb
verb: speculate; 3rd person present: speculates; past tense: speculated; past participle: speculated; gerund or present participle: speculating
  1. 1.
form a theory or conjecture about a subject without firm evidence.
"my colleagues speculate about my private life"
synonyms: conjecture, theorize, hypothesize, guess, surmise; More
    think, wonder, muse
"they speculated about my private life"
  2. 2.
invest in stocks, property, or other ventures in the hope of gain but with the risk of loss.
"he didn't look as though he had the money to speculate in stocks"
synonyms: gamble on, take a risk on, venture in, wager on; More

I will speculate that the ALSI is going up almost 10%ish from here before another pullback of 3.5%ish from there

No i actually meant know and learn what moves the alsi..

To get you out of your misery, yesterday at 4.5001 pm IG paid a 167p dividend....Thus the fall on IG cash price. Safex remained the same...Safex works differently with dividends built in. However today at 9am the J200 should and would  have fallen +-167p as those stocks went ex dividend.

1.So every Tuesday at 4.5001pm  is divi day if any dividends due on Top 40

2. Ftse dividends is Wednesday 5.3001pm on FTSE Cash

3. Dow and S&P is daily at 10.001 pm on those IG cash...

WOW

Thanks Scalptrader

was absolutely clueless about that.

Makes sense now!!

So thats an easy predictable short if they are paying out  or am I missing something else.

You are lucky if you are able to read the market's emotion,

Always learning because Top 40/ ALSI is so tricky.

Complicated by so many moving parts but have boiled it down to buy when candles above the black line and sell when below.

Hope but expect the worst.

Still get it very wrong when break my rules.

Tencent b-wave goes for double top but Naspers got wind of the c-wave and took a short cut.

Otherwise not much as good as gold.

www.indexindicators.com

If you are interested in the US indices

market breadth, volatility and put/call ratios data in chart form.

Trickier than a truckload of donkeys trying to make sense of it all.

But there it is.

VIX seems so low as well put/call ratio

So presume upwards soon and then down go the US indices.

Ten cent  now looks like it was cosolidating or forming a base before going higher.

Yesterday was up on higher volume which is so bullish.

Its an a-b-c pull back the a-b is now in and c-leg (down) commences next with a prognosis of a Fib ratio multiple of the a-leg typically 1.62 or 2.62 etc.

Sub 40 on the daily RSI (14) seems absolute minimal for this one.

But this does not gel with bully ALSI unless NPN rides through it and/or most everything else more than compensates.
