One must also realize that Management Fees/Performance Fees are deducted from clients in arrears. The markets did well till Dec so these profits are booked and no matter how the market tanks now, the next set of results will stay good.
This was discussed on HotStoxx and both annalists picked CML as Hot and will stay hot till Sept 2014 at least.
Glad to see today that the Fund Managers were paid from the Coronation Bonus Pool Trust and not directly from profits.
I started here with nothing and still have most of it left.

Missed these posts somehow. As long as she stays above the RSI 40 level and the bottom BB, she is good. She bounced off both today. Albeit slightly. The only support on the chart is waaay down so I will rather look at the RSI 30 level as support if she dives down.
The small increase in AUM is still an increase. A decrease is what we should worry about. So far the markets have not done too badly for them and hope it keeps up till their HY results.

I am well pleased with the AUM update. 2012 and 2013 was a good year, but one thing that I love about CML is that they're honest about future predictions. Besides, it is almost impossible for any company to increase its earnings, etc. by 100% every single year. For me, still, a great company with a good business model. I'm definitely keeping for the long term
Yah thats true, they did warn about the pace slowing down a bit on future results.
Happy to hold on as well...still major part of my portfolio

Agreed! Holding onto mine for long term. I'd be happy with 25% growth

Any chance CML will recover and start going up again?
Recover? err..top performing share on the JSE last year!
But I take your point, its as Orca likes to put it...gone to sleep, and rightfully so too.
The big question this year is whether the past few years performance can be repeated.
Don't expect much until we get an update on AUM.

I'm positive it will. The price has done this previously- it stagnates for a while, then starts climbing again.
There won't be massive growth like previous, but still growth nevertheless

She sometimes falls out of the bed then gets up. I never look at CML so early.

Just wondering why the big drop this morning. Probably is the ex-dividend thing

Word of advice.. Do not throw all your eggs in one basket.
And if you reacting like this to a small drop, what will you do when the market takes a proper dive (talking 10% in a week)?
