That drop last year June was due to less than expected results. She regained the loss rather quickly.
This time it was out the blue. Can only speculate that it was restructuring that spooked traders to close their positions. Seems like buyers and sellers are near equal now.
No sweat lost. Still over 130% for the year so hold on. Next support is at 5300 but I'm sure she will regain this loss rather quickly.

U were saying?

I don't think CML will easily, if ever, go below 62 again.

CML traded R27 mil in the first 2 hours of trade and that is a lot for CML I would think in its normal trading patterns ... ???

I would suspect Fund managers rebalancing and maybe before the day or week is through all would be reversed and back in the green again !

On volumes of less than 500,000 in about 800 trades, making the average trade around R30k, I think it's mostly/all small investors taking profit and/or getting scared of the recent growth. But hey, I'm new and probably wrong

This time last year went from 3000 at the beginning of May, to 2450 June 7th and then up to 2950 July 6th. You might even be able to say there was a similar drop the previous year, though far less pronounced.

I think I'm going to wait a week and see where we're at then.

I suspect fear and greed  ;)

CML once again just touched the 100MA line on the 4hr chart on Monday; now it's wanting to touch the 50MA line again. You guys better buy; it doesn't like to be under the 20MA line usually!

Cut her loose HDB. CML will only drop below the 20SMA on bad news and there will not be any until Nov. If any.

CML up 163c.... re-divvified itself :D

Just pricing in the year-end dividend already :P (which is, based on history, about 15% higher than the interim dividend).

I must say that I have been doubting CML for some time as it is after all my retirement stock. Went up too high and dropped too low ex divi. I was hoping and praying that she would retain her old personality by respecting the 20SMA by staying above it and not going too high.

After briefly going below it and having a look around, she decided that this place is not for her and climbed back up.

What a sterling stock. I feel sorry for those that got cold feet and sold. I bet they are kicking themselves now.

And HDB has a short on it to 5000. His first short got stopped out and now he has another?

My broker had shorts twice recently and both were stopped out even though I told him that it won't go below the SMA.
