Why would you buy Lonmin for 60c if you can get it for 22c

I don't understand the reason - can some please educate me as to the reasons for investors to do this as maybe I am not understanding the dynamics behind this.

Now ... if IG allowed me to short, I would sell the counter all the way down from 60cents...

Anyone sold their LONN rights for 1c while their attention was tracking Lonmin shares...? Now being bid at 1c offers at 2c.

Surely proof of the ultimate short squeeze? No underlying demand, once shorts settled price reverts back to fundamentals...?

once your Nil Paid Letters are issued, can you sell your old lonmin stock and still exercise your rights ?

Yeah there must be some serious manipulation going on here.

Earlier you could buy as much LONN as you liked at 1c, checked now and 250 million rights were bought today at 1c. It wasn't trading anywhere near those numbers earlier. LON from 42c to 120c back to 40 odd? Crazy stuff.

Anyway i'm in it for the ride so we'll see where this goes.

In my small 18months of trading... I have never seen anything like that happen.

Last time I saw something similar was the pump and dump of CMO last year

Another reason for rally is because no one can short lonmin ex right. Resulting in no downward pressure. As soon as the rights has been concluded the downward pressure will be huge. IMO.

Really tempted to sell, but this rally might reach R2.

Can you tell me why it's bad advice?

Doesn't look like I need to "pump" up anything (especially in a thread with like 4-5 active people lol) because LON seems to be rocketing today for whatever reason.

I'm just seeing a huge gap between the LONN + Take Up price vs where the share is currently, it doesn't make sense to me.

Apologies....My bad....De-ja-Vu
