Pepco will list tomorrow (26th) at 8.92 Euros per share giving it a 5,1 Bill Euro market cap.
Will be interesting to see at what price it closes at tomorrow.
Another succesful achievement by Steinhoff to turn this ship around while still holding onto the 'crown jewels'!

What are we supposed to be happy that they had to pay billions to consultants themselves and litigants to achieve this? The asset was always there. These scatter brains just created a self fulfilling mess.

SAICA only have the power to take away his CA(SA) designation. I'm fairly certain that it does not mean much to him anymore. What is interesting for me is what evidence they plan on using against him?
The authorities haven't made a play yet so I'm fairly certain they won't have more info.

Is that a criminal charge or a professional one? It is all behind a paygate, but did they say they going to put him behind bars or just court in for gross contempt of the accounting association and disbar him from the guild....? Take away his license... poor thing will never be able to touch an excel sheet again..... 

 

4 years on and he is still braaing in Hermanus happily living off his off shore interests. I'm 100% certain that a man like him, that could design all of those intricate accounting weave, planned for this eventuality that it came to book. And you think for one moment that he has lost a moments sleep because of it? 

 

He played the accounting game and he has won. 

Well said sommerso, I agree with you he is a very smart person that got the best advise from guess who? Quite sure the same big four.

 

For me the big failure is the big four provide advise how to do smart things ( inventive accounting,  smart plans, think out of the box, for big fees) and then the other side of the big four does the auditing. For me is a conflict of interests and the main cause of all these problems world wide. There are so many Steinhoff in this world.
