Correct, the November judgement was as approval granted to Steinhoff to obtain approval for the settlement, which they then did in December and then return to the court with the outcome which took place on 26th Jan for 'Final Approval', which is the news we are now waiting for!

From the Court Judgement, it seems that all the options were examined and the court implied that if settlement was acceptable to the Creditors, (majority rule applying) it should be approved. Just to ensure that once agreed, the final sanction of the court would mean that the settlememnt stands!

Given the thorough attention paid to Approved Judgement, it is understandable that this judge is going to write a similar detailed ruling which I personally feel confident is going to be positive, given his previous view.

What makes us nervous is the time that is passing but hey, just step back and look at the facts, EVERYTHING is going as planned, just turn off the computer and put the champayne on ice!!!

Thanks for the great explanation.

The date says Thursday, 26 November 2020 - wasn't this about the hearings concluded last week?

Thanks for calling the bottom btw, nice little swing trade executed to soften today's pain :)

It does want to feel that, looking at the bounce levels and then it has stayed fairly well at about R1.70, still some manipulation happening. But the volumes are exceeding those of the previous two day. Probably a bunch of stop losses triggered as well causing big chunks of trades. At this moment we are all waiting for the 8th of Feb.

I suppose if there was going to be an ill-favoured ruling it would probably already have been ruled?

Today has certainly not been for the faint hearted, but to my untrained eye it seems like the double tap at R1.55 would indicate a support level?

Very brutal, but it has happened a few times in the past, also two days after a solid rally. Like you say, it's just a question of where support will be found.

I got a core position which is meant for target price of 6 bucks  + and then a position to trade on these pull backs with long posi's only.
If it hits 1.2 again will pick up some more

A pullback of more than 25% and counting? I'm still positive but yep also somewhat worried, considering we have decision hanging over Steinhoff that will pretty much determine whether the company survives or not ... certainly hope the hedge-funds don't win again?!

A pullback was expected from the recent highs, it will continue downward for the time being...or until there is news on the hearing. I can find nothing to indicate when they might get the verdict, which makes a re-entry almost impossible to predict (if you are in that position).

Bit of a dump happening here again. By the way, thanks to the person that first introduced this site, it is way better than Tradegate in my opinion.

Is anyone expecting bad news here? I can't find anything negative news wise , bar the fact that we don't have an answer yet on the court judgement. Any new indications on when we could get that answer?

I think there's a lot of profit taking going on. It's had a good run and the uncertainty around the court decision will result in some people taking what they can right now.

There was a dump in Tradegate between 11:11 to 11:13 traded 3,4 mil shares!! I believe this caused many stop losses being taken out.
