All retailers, packaging, hospitality, liquor related, entertainment, sport related sectors...etc. are suffering.

Steinhoff steier die jaar binne onder nog hofsake.

 

’n Skuldeiser van Steinhoff gaan einde Januarie in die hof in Brittanje die reëlingskema met skuldeisers – wat nodig is om die talle regsgedinge teen die groep te skik – teenstaan.

 

Die verhoor om dié reëlingskema te bekragtig, word op 26 en 27 Januarie gehou.

 

Steinhoff se krediteure het die reëlingskema op 15 Desember goedgekeur, waarna dit nou deur die hof bekragtig moet word.

 

Indien die hof dit doen, kan Steinhoff sy voorgestelde skikking met skuldeisers in werking te stel.

 

Die skikkingsvoorstel het ook die goedkeuring van sy skuldeisers benodig.

 

Volgens Steinhoff is hy deur Conservatorium Holdings LLC in kennis gestel van sy voorneme om die versoek om die reëlingskema te bekragtig, teen te staan.

Netwerk24 het voorheen berig Conservatorium is ’n onderneming wat die regseise van banke oorgeneem het wat destyds finansiering gegee het aan ondernemings van Christo Wiese om Steinhoff-aandele te bekom.

Conservatorium maak daarop aanspraak dat hy die regte besit op die eise wat Thibault en Titan van Wiese teen Steinhoff aanhangig gemaak het.

Steinhoff het ook aangekondig daar sal op 21 Januarie ’n verhoor in die hooggeregshof in Kaapstad wees oor die reëlingskema wat hy in Suid-Afrika ingevolge art. 155 van die Maatskappywet beoog. Die Suid-Afrikaanse maatskappy Steinhoff International Holdings (SIPHL) wil sekere prosedurele aanwysings verkry voordat hy besluit om die reëlingskema vir die skikking van eise teen hom in werking te stel.

Volgens Steinhoff is ’n aansoek ook by die hooggeregshof ingedien deur die Nederlandse ondernemings Hamilton BV en Hamilton 2 BV wat SIPHL se benadering tot die voorgestelde skikking ten opsigte van groepsgedinge betwis.

Geen datum vir die verhoor van dié aansoek is al vasgestel nie.

Die maatskappy het ook aangekondig ’n verhoor word vir 8 Februarie beplan in die Amsterdamse distrikshof nadat Conservatorium ’n aansoek hier ingedien het om ’n herstruktureringskundige kragtens Nederlandse bankrotskapwetgewing aan te stel.

“Steinhoff se siening bly dat die wêreldwye voorgestelde skikking die middel bied om die historiese eise teen hom wesenlik op te los en dat dit in die beste belang van alle belanghebbendes bly.”

Again I'm not sure where you're getting this from. Please substantiate why you think the direction is incorrect and why it may result in the total destruction of all value in the business?

Typical Tom (Poly undercover) making useless statements. For me I see no issue creditors first in line and under fire sale with Corona Conservatorium will see no money at all in case of liquidation. Further al, is required is a simp,y majority above 50% so quite sure Conservatorium will not have that so for me yet another buying opportunity cannot wait for market open

In the SENS, the statement:
"SIHNV will respond to the request in due course"
sounds defiant which isn't a good idea at all.

The share holders now need to move immediately to get the management to rectify its direction, before all is lost. The money of the current share holders might be lost, and the claim money of the claimant shareholders might be lost.

I have re read the sens.....what am i missing...its procedural and massive accomplishment..we should expect a massive pump 26 27, onve this is approved...the contestation is a right but not necessarily a win...a headache yes.
Snh still to issue a further sens...we now heading to critical hurdles...the big stuff is sorted..mthe major litigators have come to the table...lets be hopeful..perhaps some few cents up or down...but good potential for a nice pump in 12 days....from r1.20...most predicting the previojs pump to r1.60 will be surpassed heading past r2.....are you dumping at r2......be interesti g to see...the d1 pump..
