I am sitting on 2.46 with SNH......you were right - this is a high av

 

Anyway - I pumped enough money in various shares and now lol I am kinda low on cash....Have to wait for this month to end before I get stable again....

Yes Ill take the Mr away....I also allocated an amount to shares so that's my lot for now unless I sell some shares...Not selling Snh though. I really think will go mid 3s to 4 rand in weeks....May then sell a few and try buy back cheaper but all in all if this is going to big numbers glad I have loads of them...My average is 2.57....so you not too bad....Anyway at lease we have a laugh in between trying to be sensible re what we are doing....positivity will rule !

I think maybe that: what happened this morning shows that not much people are welling to fire sell at the current low prices even if there are more emotional news about Mattress Firm, (but we'll see what happens if they actually do the filing).

I think the filling was expected and is already discounted in the share price. Tomorrow is going to be volatile when Frankfurt is trading that will give the real picture.

would SNH not be expected to issue a SENS on the MF bankruptcy filing and position that expected intention of doing so.

 

the share price has already factored doom and gloom for MF with the H1 results in- filing for bankruptcy might either see further decline- however I would expect that this could even result in steady state or an increase following expectations of re-organisation.

 

need to see this as part of the bigger strategy and part of the expectations from lenders who would want the turnaround at MF completed. MF certainly cannot escape expensive lease agreements and filing for bankruptcy protection allows the company to renegotiate or exit in entirety. personally I see this as a positive move

Steinhoff will definitely issue a SENS on this (if they do file for bankruptcy), if they say this week, will then we are already Wednesday.

They will issue sens Frankfurt holiday today so would need issue when both open..maybe tommorrow or later in week...this is positive

An extreme move like this will bring 2 extreme high emotions, some will sell at any price, but some might also buy at any price.

Today I see the price is jumping up and down, and (I think maybe) it will continue to do so in the coming weeks, as the news spread all over the media, and then if they actually do file for this week (chee that's very soon), which seams to me is becoming very likely, as they have been complaining about these leases it's been time, and saying that they were defrauded by some previous managers at MF conspiring with property agents into leasing and buying unnecessary duplicate new shops.

 

To me I think that if they liquidate (unlikely) then they can use the money to pay off some of the debt, or if they use the bankruptcy to reorganize (restructure) then even better.

 

Mattress Firm is to a large degree a separate legal entity than Steinhoff. Steinhoff is just a share holder in Mattress Firm (although the only one).

 

(The above is just my opinion, and I personally don't know if it's right or wrong, so please don't use it as part of your decision making, and practice safe trading and/or investment).
