I made that comment with tongue firmly in cheek as we all know Polly has been waiting for its demise
. Lost my smiley emoticon and further text around "I wish" during my last edit to remove duplicate quotes. See my previous question to Polly as to whether he sees it hitting R0.90c.
Polly made. Lots of money being clever...

Incorrect. Shorting is selling with the aim of buying back later at a lower price.

Think Polly is shorting it to hit R2.60 potentially then getting out at that price for a small profit. As an example, if he bought at R1.89 and with the current price sitting at R1.96 hes already made a 3.7% profit. If it gits R2.60 again hes made a 37.57% return on investment.

My play is:
Short on break of R1.90 #Stop 2.60# Take profit R1.10
Then if break of 90c # Stop R1.60 # Take profit as close to ZERO
We ate in the R1.90 territory now Polly, do you see this going the 90c route?

Depending on price...Conniving MJ and CW paid $64/share.
USD strength the last month could help with some of the EUR debt if this happens at a fair price...but I highly doubt that.

Advent International is considering a buyout of Mattress Firm, according to New York Post.
The firm is considering the move as a way to protect its Serta Simmons business that could be slammed with losses if Mattress Firm goes bankrupt.
Sources says Serta Simmons has close to $100M in receivables at risk at Mattress Firm.
Mattress Firm is owned by Steinhoff International (OTC:SNHFF, OTCPK:SNHFY).

Decide on a target and pull the trigger when we reach it.
I was ready to sell at R3.75 but got caught up in the excitement on social media.
That's my 5c
I agree Larry. I need to set a target. Hope I get the chance to pull the trigger

Yeah, I did it backwards - meaning: I got all excited and bought more at R2.90 and less at R1.30.
What I learnt so far is not to let my emotions get the better of me & well patience is needed.
I should have taken out some when it spiked....oh well. I will be waiting for for Parliament feedback & PwC report end of Aug before I do anything....

Hi Guys,
I am new to investing.
I put in some of my money to buy SNH shares at R1.30, R2.10, R2.90.
I saw it climb to a 100K profit but I didn't take the money out and left it in and now
it went down to a R30K loss.
I feel so disappointed. My money is sitting there. I still have a lot to learn about investing.
Please tell me what happens if Steinhoff becomes insolvent? Will I get any money back? I am trading on easy equities....
What is the predicted value of SNH share? Think it will be more than what I invested.
Please advise. I am just trying investing for the 1st time and I don't want to waste anymore money.
Kind Regards...
M
