Lovely article.... But again very poor journalism... Does mattress firm have to claim bankruptcy before it starts to restructure... Renegotiate leases... Etc....

Interestingly I agree with the analyst findings but he is several months late... This was the case... And mf have already started store optimisation... Merchandising strategy... Etc.. Etc.. Etc..

I am looking to see improved Q3 results versus 2017 and feedback on turnaround success... Also awaiting a management buyout.....or if not a management buyout... To hopefully see the cross selling of other snh businesses and brands across US borders......

Do you want to trade this share...

Expct lots of volatility for this month.. News creates up and down and up again... If you worried about a down.... Save cash and buy at bottom... A gauranteed up will be at the end of 3 months on conclusion of restructuring...

Not sure what parliamentary representations may do to share.... If the case against Markus and friends are strong then snh liability may be limited.... Deloitte may take some renewed pain as they are the checks and balances level....

I am expecting news to drive share price down.. And that create another buy opportunity... However news may also drive share price up.... Either way be weary of sentiment and set aside son funds for pure gamble

I don't see anything substantive. No further news. Small volume trades 0.16 close. No excitement...

EDITORā€™S NOTE

MARC HASENFUSS: Rush to Steinhoff enough to make anyone sick

Punters are so easily lulled into the debt-laden corporationā€™s murky valuation prospect that they will look past indiscretions that put Steinhoff firmly in the dwang

Off business day..Steinhoff Internationalā€™s share price rose 3.95% to ā‚¬0.16 in Frankfurt and as much as 4% to R2.50 in Johannesburg on Friday after announcing it was moving the headquarters of its two most indebted units from Austria to the UK.

Steinhoff Europe and Steinhoff Finance, most of whose creditors recently agreed to a "lock-up agreement", will now share their headquarters with Steinhoff UK in its offices in Gloucestershire, the furniture retailer said in a statement.

Steinhoff said reasons for relocating its European and finance divisions to the UK included that none of their board members live in Austria.

Steinhoff entered the UK in August 2016 by acquiring Poundland for Ā£610m. In January, The Telegraph reported Poundlandā€™s management was seeking private equity backing to buy the retailer from its scandal-ridden parent.

why is SNH not buying its own shares currently- is it a closed period for directors.

would it not be beneficial for the company to buy back shares at the low price with confidence that the price will increase...

be fantastic to buy your own shares, pump the price and hand these to your creditors at a later point in time

common Steinhoff wake up----pump up the jam

seems to be many articles on Viceroy and Capitec focussing on the reliability of the Viceroy report. seems to be a lot of Capitec defenders outthere- makes me more suspicious of Capitec and their cash circulation models.

surprisingly Viceroy Steinhoff report- very little written on that front- perhaps because a small dirt spot on an oil stained shirt is neglected.
