from a technical point of view R2.00 is strong resistance. So if resistance breaks then only do you add.

Technical resistance... Market holding for finalisation of restructuring... Currently buyers are those satisfied by earlier indication. But will see large volume trades once risk reduced... Buy now... Or hold to buy when market buys... Hopefully r2, breached soon and there is nice momentum.

You mean if you're already invested at above R2?

Currently, I would only add more share to my portfolio if they are cheaper than my average share price... meaning I can still add more :)

@IN I'm not saying it's a blind bet. Not at all. What I'm saying is that those investing in crypto are better off investing in steinhoff as the chances of good profits are more likely.

I do recommend though that you invest in a beter keyboard for your phone. I recommend SwiftKey. Really good keyboard that learns your habits and auto fixes typing mistakes :-P

Steinhoff did great today, up 8%! Hoping this momentum keeps on going to upper R7.

Hi ram85..this is not a blind bet...ypu buying a company with equity and debt....followng restructuring and debt lock in...the current liabilities move to non current liabilities...company foxusses on strategy and share price will cimb to r7 i suspct. There is clear evidence that reatructuring take shape. And also legal cases will belong fought...
the current market pricing is rediculous...and finally foreign buyers are back in the market for the past two weeks almoat 3to 1buyersp shes compared to SA. Anlysts are writing poaitively and funds are increasing there exposure. I too had a knpck on the way down but made handsome recovery already from 1.20 and expect more wit my high volumes and wxpected rexovery with the finalisation of debt restructuring.....there is postive energy and i am a buyer...will try get more at 1.60 to 1.70....

Markets reward the brave. :)

or

The absolutely stupid. :P

That you can say again Polly... I'm very new to this and have burned myself by starting to buy at R7 odd rand and kept buying little bits as the share price dropped thinking everytime "this cant go lower... then it does"... Making my average share price terrible.

To be honest I feel this share is a better risk/reward than crypto etc purely because here we are dealing with actual market conditions and news. With crypto, the market is constantly manipulated by wales and security breaches. The biggest reason I got into SNH was that I can't see any other place where you have the potential to double your money with the same risks that crypto has.

Yes sure, snh can crash completely but so is the likelihood of crypto. The chances that bitcoin reaches $10-12k again I feel is less than snh reaching R5-10, making snh seem much much more attractive.

But like InvestmentNovice has said a few times... DO NOT use money that you can't be without. This is exactly like investing in crypto... extremely high risk and should be compared to betting on a decent horse with a 6.2 foot jocky. There is hope, but not as much as with a 5 foot jocky.

Current Share Price: 195 +20    +11.43%
I'm not going to classify myself as very brave... rather very stupid with odd chance of getting lucky.

I should have invested in Escponent... at least there I would have had 11.2% guaranteed year on year gain, albeit at a fixed 5 year period.

Seeing consistent trades above the 1.70 mark. The share already up 4% in morning trade @1.83. Hoping this rally continues!

For all those lucky enough to jump onboard at 1.20... you're sitting on a tidy profit already. For me... I'm in for the long haul it seems.

Investos are climbing in now due to whats called a salvage value investment. I am trying to get some more shares at 1.60
This is an extremely high risk trade but from the recent sens the restructuring is almost finalised with agreement on commercial terms already accomplished.
You may wait and buy afer 20th july or may buy now...speclative trade...dont risk money you cant afford to lose

Bond price have been gaining since the original collapse, these are normally the people that know more than the rest of the market...am I correct with that statement?

Or, is the chances of getting Bond money back now greater than Shareholder value recovering.

Hopefully this counts for some share price gains. Grasping at straws at the moment...Need R5.

The vultures are circling......

reading through all the media reports over the past 2 days and certainly from this mornings- seems like there is quite a talent for stating the obvious.

this morning another exciting article for an entire page recaps the entire steinhof debarcle without any new information accept a new headline.

I thin there is certainly validity in reminding the public of the evil of Steinhof

but what I cannot understand is the fact that the article claims that all involved will walk free or not yet punished.

in order to make a legal argument and ensure success- you got to do the digging, and cleaning and ensure all nooks and crannies are swept before finalising your case. the German authorities were unsuccessful since 2015. SNH board and PWC must be afforded the time to do so. and six more months is reasonable. they already have the answers what they digging for is confirmation. the board would not be stupid to publish results that will change completely- the result published will be within 5% of the final results. following the detailed investigation- those that are liable will be brought to task, including the current board, including Wiese- there was a reason he steeped down- not just conflict of interest. there is certainly evidence of his knowledge of some accounting irregularity or non compliance to IFRS- does not have to be fraud.

interestingly the dutch legal team pursuing class action today themselves disclose that their case will take a long time to prove and settle- they need to prove fraud- accounting irregularity is not fraud! there is fraud- I am not saying there is no fraud- there is clear fraud- but we need to discern the difference in fraud and accounting irregularity and the amount of loss allocated to each. it is easy to see that at least 60% now is due to accounting irregularity- utilising wrong discount values for example, property valuations- the board cannot be liable for this, nor can SNH shareholders- this is why there is increased interest in the share at the moment.

the r64 million rand payment in dividence is a drop in the ocean.

expect the share to come under trading pressure and drop in value, but also expect massive increases with further information. you must ask a simple question- why have the vultures not swooped in to eat for the past 7 months......they may circle but theyre not eating- restructuring when signed will confirm that the market actually sees value in the turnaround and the current share price is significantly discounted due to fear and uncertainty.

this is a crap company with a crap track record- but they are trying to clean their books and Sonn is creating a legacy- for the many shareholders I pray for recovery- for the many pensioners I will pump the reality that the technical do not support-------------please don't invest based on my posts, but rather ask the right questions and ignore fake news
