interestingly Frankfurt trade volumes up considerably compared to SA- according to Polly this may be the fact that they are both increasingly entering and exiting the share.

irrespective this shows increased appetite in Frankfurt and perhaps may be a catalyst to the share pumping.

market certainty on specific key issues will result in double digit growth due to the low base- speculative high risk disclaimer

what are the 2 next key issues:

1. signed restructuring

2. Q3 results showing improvement in Mattress firm 2018 compared to 2017

Steinhof may sell assets....

Quite interestingly several months back we mentioned something along the lines of star being able to buy steinhof assets....this still allows steinhof to retain value while diposing of an asset at a market acceptable price without settling for a discounted price....
Seems this strategy may be on the cards as per recent news....
Star benefits..snh benefits.....salvation ....
And upside likely....

133 million shares traded...100 million already in frankfurt. This is a reversal of volumes that we have seen over the past two months where sa investors buying up higher volumes...hope the frankfurt interest in share remains.
Could the following be the reason
1. Nav and revenue generation
2. Sens indicating agreement on commercial terms for restructuring
3. Proposed turnaround plans

Noone truly knows..its speculation....but what seems to be the case..is probably a reduction in uncertainties..

Please be cautious--could expect pump and dump and daily volatility- understand the reasons for investing, let this be part of an overall strategy.

makes for some nice trading short term.

Polly. ...remembe wiese had the opportunity of a due diligence..he could interogate and sign off in goodwill and tradename valuation both as the acquirer and in his position in the board. His own words were that he long supported the acquisition of matress firm...he signed of on the acquisition...and this is a major hole in the books....

I do agree that sure he could not have known about the fraud...and rightly h should target jooste rather than snh.

Many may think that i am pumping the share...true. i am genuinely hoping fo objective and constructive discussion and would love to see the share regain value fo existing shareholders many of who have held the share through this difficul period....new investors reading the tread would have read on the high risk ...stupid ...speculator type trade that this is..

Hold your money and jump on when there is certainty.....we are still far from that...

Frankfurt volume trades dropped significantly in the past month and seems to have picked up again since friday.....

I have been asked to comment on Wiese...

Accoding to 702 and media reports...wiese cant understand the mis representation. Well Mr Wiese surely 70 to 80 percent of this should have been noticed by your team when the did the due diligenve and acquisition. Were you jot xhairman ilwhen mattress firm was acquired....all of the related write downs under your tenure...due to your direct influence...

All other shananigans well you have to go after marcus and co...please ask them to settle with you. You may ask for r10 more as you going to pay the piper....

With all due respect IN, if the auditors and highly paid fund managers could not pick up the shanagans, how on earth can an investor in the company beit the Chairman pick up anything due to the highly organised fraud and misrepresentation?? If i was Wiese ( pity im not) ill go for the jugular!

So much pumping, but im sorry let it rest in peace man. Give it a break .So many newbies gona fall for this thread and never return to investing once the **** hits the fan.

its going to take a while to make detailed sense of the information provided.

Pls may i request any colleagus looking into this to comment on impairment and asset write down. This is important because it talks to the belief that snh has on its abilityto defend the court cases and why the creditors have agreed the life line. I could not make sense of why the restructuring would be supported if the court cases itself would drain and drive snh to the grave.

From the description provided in the h1 results on impairments. Almost 2.5 billion on goodwill and further 2.0 bllion odd on trade name valuation. We know that almost 1.2 in property valuation. 5.7 billion followed normal accounting practice.

Since 2017 dec....issues on fraud and other matters have also come to light....i dont hink the legal issues are as dire as is priced which points to creditor support. 20 july and final signage for me indicates that there is optimism in management and that snh is a going concern and would also confirm creditors have a sigificant better understanding of snh legal liability.

2o th july we wait for you....

Wiese...i think your case gets weaker by the day...

Yip. Next mile stone is the 20th July. If it goes well, sure we'll see upper R2.

Then December again.

Not going to see anything more than R5 to R6 again this year in my view.

Its interesting you say this...could naspers go to 16000 in the simlar period.

I recall a Lonmin trend end 2015 2016...life line...share jumped to r36 backed on sustainability fears calmed as well as rand decline.

With rand hedge and sustainability...snh cold be at r5 or r6..or suspended....latte scenario unlikely following recent events...perhaps this is the reasn we seeing some nice volumes coupled with the fact that salaries have just been paid and there is alot more risk apetite.

Has anyone identified some critical information fro. H1 results and wording that is new...

Retructuring...
Maress firm following turnaround will be sold management buy out backed by vc. This will result in at least 3.5 to 4 billon euro salvaging.
Australia exit will result in a further 1 billion euro...
Star and pepkor and lesser conforama will remain as flagships...
Both of these have co synergies.

Very likely that the above remaining assets can refinance dbt afte 3 years.

Legal cases against snh will be fought over years and unlikely to dent the company.

All of the investigations and moneys spent now will be worthwhile later to redeem the reputation and shareholdr value...

I take my hat of to mangement and the board for keeping their heads high despite all our critism..

Disclaimer....the above fairytail is mine and based on wishful thinking andbusiness experience not backed by fact

Agreed, risky. Will know 50% more when the restructuring happens. Next few weeks. Till then, "to infinity and beyond "
