😂

Is Eskom a Steinhoff or vice versa. Stuck in 4th gear blaming the past. And handsomely rewarding themselves in the process. Not owning a single share in the company. And you guys believe that is the best out there. Go look at real leaders Elon Musk took a company that was going bust and built the largest company in the world. Where Louis took a cash cow and turned it into a mess. So no need for insults but the facts speak for themselves. 4 years 50 billion rand later with nothing to show. Reminds of Eskom. Over 2 years and things get progressively worst. There are no excuses.

National Director of Public Prosecutions Shamila Batohi and her team from the National Prosecuting Authority briefed the Portfolio Committee on Justice and Correctional Services on Friday on their annual report.

.....Asked about the Steinhoff investigation, deputy national director of public prosecutions Rodney de Kock said the matter is receiving a lot of attention.

A team of prosecutors is working on it, led by the director of public prosecutions of Pretoria.

They are also working with financial experts, and the investigation is at an "advanced state". They are working on requests for Mutual Legal Assistance with other countries, and one has already been dispatched.

"So as far as Steinhoff is concerned, that come the new year, we will see some traction," he said.

He added that he is not pre-empting that there will be a decision to prosecute.

Feels like this is all so vague all of a sudden. I know we have court cases etc. in January but don't know what else really.

So many times in the past when they went quiet, it was a few weeks and then a clarifying SENS would come out. I'm hopeful that the same will happen shortly.

Thank you. MF IPO it is.....

What do you think should the Steinhoff team have done differently in your opinion?

I agree 100%. Perhaps Zanme can give us a detailed explanation.

Question so how would we have come to a global all encompassing settlement if it was not for the consultants?

Is a global settlement something that anyone can do?

There wasn't a need for any settlement if he paid down debt. Steinhoff's share price would have been around R20. He could have settled all of this through dialogue and demonstrating that there is value. The consultants cost shareholders in fees. In penal interest and a global settlement. Those are all outflows. How did they benefit with no inflow. The operations are the same as they were. Debt needed to be pushed down into operations and settled. A clever negotiator could have achieved that. So no there was no legal requirement to pay all that money. None at all. The guys here DDT and company were saying that his so smart he will settle the litigants and then go after Markus with the novel of a PWC report. But Markus won't even pay a R100 million penalty so how will he get back R50 billion?

4 years of nothing. I said a few times before pay down debt and not pay consultants negotiate and demonstrate value to turn away litigants. And leave any initiative that will not be value enhancing to shareholders like over remuneration and a bloated head office. So I said this before and its quite simple. DTD we don't need that great lawyer to do it ha ha.
