Markets still so unpredictable...We get these dead cat bounces like yesterday and suddenly everything looks like a buy but next day we go deep red...So very hard to give opinions.If today is a solid red day and maybe we back to buying the dips and i then say start accumulating for long term.

 

Our markets solely now be driven by Trumps tweats.. He teweeted lat nigh in USA time that he is going to enfore more duties on chinese prodcuts...and US futures took a dive after US markets closed.. Chinese markets has not responded to that red US futures or that tweet as of now....Thing is how will ftse respond...

Why do you not the it wont keep running up to Friday for results? Just nature of the market or a reason? Thanks

 

better than expected results is defino bullish for tc...Could run all way back to 400hd...but will zig zag its way through..

NPN different kettle of fish though.....zar and market momentum has definite impact..ob bullish days she runs more than expected...and bearish days gets whacked more than expected..

 

Xmas rally will be upon us so should see at least a positive for npn

Wonder why npn rising so quick...cant just be that ipo...is it because figures out Friday ., or possibly music ipo imminent ...black Friday..cant work it out....what could be expected by Friday..think resistance levels about R2960, R3131, 3409...are you in agreement? Thanks. I didn't go for mtn...too risky..

 thing is if you on the wrong side of this trade , it can squeeze out shorts very quickly. So highly risky to short

Hi P, Still going on about IPOS. TONGCHENG ELONG was on market today..tc owns about 23% ,,ipo gone up about 10 percent and tc share 2.5% so far...interesting.

Mtn. No news yet and share price at nearly 90. What about a early morning short with a relatively tight trailing stop. Even if everything is sorted in Nigeria, share price should be around 100 ish.

Thanks, yes looked internet and said they usually only launch in bear market if company needs money..haha hope tc doesn't need money that bad. Also says Dec not ideal as most finance companies/people have finished with budget whereas in Jan they start again...will be interesting to see what happens. Tx

Hi P, I see tencent is launching music  ipo on 14 dec...will this give a little rally?  As their last IPO helped their Q3 figures would presume this is good..Yesterday BAT also started rising. Thanks.

two ways of looking at this.

 

1. when a company feels its share price is undervalued , it tends to try to unlock value by listing one of its divisions separately This is what TC is doing.

 

2. Listing separately does not necessarily  mean its share price will rise when new shares listed . Normally the separate listing gets built into the original companys share price.

 

However it all depends on how the new listing is welcomed by the market as it debuts. Obviously if new listing share price makes a hot debut , originals company share price will rise...and vise versa..

 

 

My take timing was wrong on this listing....Listings like this must be done on a bullish market, At moment shares all over the world are falling. I actually wont be suprised if ipo is delayed to make debut in better times.

no i havent looked at financials...but out of my head if i remember correctly, last 10 years company has always made a profit but main problem has been cash flow. Lots of investments in redundant stocks which were over priced, goodwill , etc. All these had to be written down. So i dont think they actually had tax losses. But i could be wrong.
