That vote could certainly trigger a nasty drop. I'm betting that Obamacare doesn't get repealed, there's just too many Americans who would lose their coverage. This is going to be a major setback for Trump. Markets will finally be forced to tone down the insane optimism.

The way I see it if the US doesn't buy the dip tonight and there's failure around the Healthcare reform vote this week then the US will retrace 10% very quickly. Thereafter there will be another wave of buying 'cheap' stocks and when that fails to make ATH the pressure will really be on from every angle. Still many months to go before this scenario can play out though but if it does expect various risk assets to start finding themselves in bear markets.

Looking bad for the bulls especially with the US seeming to be turning down.

I can also see it happening. The post public holiday panic is going to contribute to a big down day. Essentially this is the worst case scenario for anybody holding long through the public holiday.
