Past two days have been nice for us CML holders. Hope you didn't sell Orca!

So, err, can we expect R90 for Christmas....

Marcos,

The auction has been explained by myself and others and if I remember correctly hdb posted a long detailed post on it before.

But you wouldnt know about this since you so fixated on CML that you hardly care to read other threads.

And you make baseless comments regarding people taking large sums of money out of SA and how it will impact on CML's AUM..

How do you know the money being withdrawn from SA was ever under CML's management?

Their international division made just over R200 000 000 in profit (before taxes and expenses) versus their African division that made in the region of R550 000 000

So even if there is a big outflow from international investors, the impact is relatively small since most of CML's money comes from Saffas..

So please refrain from making sweeping statements based on well.. thin air

My apologies to Immobilier and Perreby for not quite understanding auctions. I have asked about this before but nobody bothered to reply.
There was no need to ridicule me for not knowing. Had the roles been reversed, I would have explained the process and not ridiculed the person. It is a shame that we find this happening on ShareChat.
And don't bother explaining now as I have been doing some reading on it.

I am with Orca on this one, but feel that it is unnecessary for Immobilier to make a stir on this thread. Many of us experienced a bad week with the market...

Blind leading the blind you say. So you suggesting that I am leading blind investors to follow ME?
Excuse me for bringing this up but if I am so blind then why am I on top of the LeaderBoard by a long margin? Bragging you will say, but what other ammo do I have?
Perhaps I have been hyping CML up since 2009/10 when it was a relatively unknown stock and now is the most popular but surely this is not bad as we all made big bucks.
Sour grapes perhaps. I think you have stepped on some toes here.

We are not ridiculing you. You have been doing it yourself for some time now. Blind leading the blind.

Immobilier, I am much more interested in your views on listed property, given the 20% odd correction.
Looks like there is some value now, unless bond yields keep on rising, which is of course possible should
further Rand weakening occur, resulting also in foreigners desire to withdraw (from the bond market here).

Hopefully you will find the time, and inclination, to impart your views ? ;)

Edit: Plse. post reply under Property Stocks http://www.sharechat...roperty-stocks/

Moon, I have replied as requested. But my view (and perreby's comments) on friend Orca stands... Clueless.

Was watching the close. Single buyers bidding R4 to R5M at over 6000 when the price was 5935. Was just crazy. The last 5 minutes the buy volumes jumped 20 fold.
Once again I haven't checked the OCP but I'm sure it will be over 6000. Hopefully there will be no late after hours trades to drop it.

Another prime example.
