The main problem that exists at present is people are not allowed to have free speech.

 

If I post something that I thing is my thoughts one does not get a reply like "I don't agree because of this ..............." what one get is " You a fraud know nothing etc"

 

It is rather a sad situation when people cannot feel confident to post their thoughts.

 

The reality of the matter no one knows 100% for sure what is going on the fact that people play with figures is simple investors need to know what they investing on so there is nothing wrong to share each others model results.

 

Tonight I am asking for the sake of everyone is it not possible we stop insulting and just focus to post information and thoughts.

 

To Polly: What is it that makes you so needed to insult people. The sad part is yes you are quite smart and do post good information at times but fail to let people have their own opinions. To that harvard drop out how accused me of lying , having an agenda blah blah...I asked you 2 questions on that Pyramid scheme thread , one last week and one a month ago..So much for answering it.

The only liars here are these so called " Gurus" who have only one object in mind...To mislead , to suck the innocent  in here. MR Harvard dropout , you play with words people post but dont read between the lines..Tom may have said bankrupt and sure was wrong term...he may not be an accountant or English guru but try to understand his point..I did...All he meant is this company is financially technically  insolvent , illuquid , in  dire straights , assets exceeds liabilities , a goner.. Surely he is entitled to views , right or wrong..All you do is try to get technical without understanding the point. In fact the use of the word "WE" tells it all why you are here. I dont care 2 hoots of what you have to say about me. And i will repeat again. You not an investor. You a gambler.

You and Mr haha talk of posting facts. What is facts? Facts we all know. We dont want that regurgitated here especially from Haha who fills the thread with  nonsensical facts. Facts is embedded in price. Thats why the pyramid scheme was sold off to R1.80. The purpose of any forum is to post forward looking opinions and not past  "facts".. and you talk of facts.How can the last historical figures be facts? This is ullls main problem.Fact for 2016/2017 but certainly not fact for 2018/2019. A lot has changed since the last financials  and you can say fact only when the lastest afs comes out. So dont go try impressing with the facts from the last afs as you think it is the be all.. With the scope of fraud that happened , those figures actually mean f@ckall .

I need to be exceptionally careful in what I say and how I put across my interpretations.  Firstly, I have a loyalty to some people involved in cleaning up the Steinhoff mess.  I will not betray that trust.

 

And secondly, already I have been accused of acting/being a "guru".   Which in itself is weird, because all that I did was point out the some of the members on this platform lacked credible evidence for their arguments.  In other words, they have put across a hunch, gut-feel or outright lie.  Their insistence for example that Steinhoff was insolvent and bankrupt is an example of this. 

 

They then warn everyone that other posters are misinforming this ShareChat platform.  This is a classic bait and switch or misdirection tactic that is used extensively by those who wish to misinform.  It was used by the Nazis and many illegitimate "authorities".  There is nothing like having your enemies lose credibility.

 

So whatever, I post, I have to back this up.  With evidence and with an explanation for my interpretation of the evidence.  You are spot on about me knowing more than what I can type.  But I can only speak on what is public knowledge on Steinhoff, or what the public could learn themselves if they dug a little.

There are a few wanna  be Gurus ( now gangsters) here that pretend and  make it look like it’s easy money to be made in investing here.

They walk in here,throw in some billy big balls dialogue and make newbies believe it’s a walk in the park. Well that aint the truth and thats aint me.( how frikken true)

Human nature is to follow that crowd , most do it one way or the other because you feel safe in doing it.

It’s none of my business what people say of me and think of me. I am what I am and I do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything.

Good market analysis can certainly contribute to and play a supporting role in one’s success, but it doesn’t deserve the attention and importance most Gurus mistakenly attach to it here n Steinhoff.

I wont repeat myself as i feel i have given my views/opinions on this " special" share over and over again and its "special valuation" i have placed on it looking at the backward sequence of events and uncertainties.

Unmanaged emotions by these Gurus will make them see what they want to see, or what they fear to see, instead of seeing what's there to see.

 

It is easy for them  to put on a show and be all  cocky, and feel pretty cool and all that.  BUT, to express oneself honestly, not lying to oneself, that my friends here is very hard to do.Why is it that an 8 year old can look at a chart and immediately tell you the direction of the trend yet adults and Gurus with all their bells and whistles can’t figure it out?Why is it the share fell from +80 to current.

I’m only 60 years young. I’m not a “guru” or “expert” at this stage of my life. I’m sharing /advising and giving an opinion  on what I have  learnt from my past experiences and maybe seeing my journey helps some here in some way.( pay heed guys)...everything getting uncovered here

Im not forcing my view on anyone.Its an opinion and will remain as such. Anything can happen at anytime.My analysis /view/ opinion tells me what is likely to happen , not what is certain to happen...Know the difference!

We're dealing with probabilities, not certainties. The future on this share up or down still remains open.Lots of people won’t want to hear it what im trying to say. That’s ok. It’s not my job to please everybody.A good investor could be  is a wise contrarian but not  a stubborn one.

 

To the newbies always remember the trading/investing First Commandment: Thou shall not risk money that thou can't afford to lose.The Steinhoff current share price is not the same as value. Price is objective, Value is subjective.

The thing most love doing here and investing here is to fantasize about the profits to come. And then when things may not  happen according their fantasies, it going to inevitably upsets  most others here.

Im my opinion if you invested here already following the Gurus, the better approach is to imagine  that the trade might result in a loss and, consequently, prepare for it. Worst case scenario. If im wrong , enjoy the winnings. Because this surely is a bet , a gamble. To new investors here, would you invest in a gamble especially when again in my opinion the odds are stacked against you?

 

The mind of the new trader/investor is often cluttered with some get-rich-quick nonsense posted in some chat room which they must eventually come to unlearn in order to learn something real.

 

To predict the behavior of ordinary people in advance, you only have to assume that they will always try to escape a disagreeable situation with the smallest possible expenditure of intelligence . 

When people are under pressure, they tend to react blindly (out of fear) to protect themselves at all cost and hence the name calling , insults etc which i can handle but when attacks become personal , thats when i have to draw the line. hence the ignore list preference. I have 4 already and as of today i have included another so called Guru. Came in as a gentleman but subsequently found out to be no different attacking my character as to why i dont invest in pension funds etc. Ive told as much as possible about myself here but not all.What ive told , i get chastised on , imagine if i tell all..If only they knew!! They dont know me , this is a chat room and we all behind a curtain. I could say much more about my wealth, investments , lifestyle, etc etc etc but less said the better.These so called Gurus cant even post how much they invested here or even other shares. This i call the fear where they pump but know risk is there. And how about the guy who pumps but shorts in the share in the quiet. In my opinion he doesn't even short. Just calls the bluff trade to show how macho he is.

 

So people dont me misled , do you own homework ,,,,,,,and invest wisely!!!! Pumpers will try to protect their investments at all costs, even to your detriment!!!!!!

Let me break down your post:

 

1 - Insults name calling blah blah don't phase me... - Ok so you don't really give a **** to respect  I guess that's how maybe you grew up thus becoming a normal for you.

2 - .its expected on forums... - So the way you see it one needs to be rough nasty statements be insulting when communicating again maybe that is your growing up normal but the good news is in real life there is another norm called be respectfulness to other and you will be respected.

3 -  But now captain con taking this to a different level with threats? - Again you believe some con man is going to send someone to beat you up. This obviously reflect you had a very untrusty and violent upbringing. The reality is you don't  know Captain but choose to insult him by calling him a con and just like you have been inviting me to meet you in Joburg  there is nothing wrong Captain sending his friends to meet you on his behalf. Maybe suggest you keep the beers and the coke cold!!!

4 - Such a weak character! - So how can you be so rude to a person that has offered to get to know you? From the posts Captain has posted he comes across as a person well learned and to be treated with respect because he is always respectful so why say he has a week character if you don't even know the person.

 

To conclude you see one needs to think about posts because in a few short sentence you come across a person that grew up in a bad turbulent place where no one respects each other and now for you that the normal. Folks, it is exactly posts like this by this little sh1t that had the Group descend into chaos.    We had peace and quite, even though the insults continued on the other (new) Steinhoff group.

 

This fawning idiot with a mentality of a 5 year is going to ruin this Group.  His previous solution was that people ignore negative comments.  He is now calling me a fraud without a shred of evidence.
