I’m crafting my well-considered $JSEASC Ascendis note now. I have to write it with some care

I will publish to my baser tomorrow. It will include today’s @JSE_SENS opinion & my viewpoint update on #ASC to its December 2020 period

AC view point may convince the market otherwise....sometimes its a drop before a takeoff......either you believe or you dont....

Thanks for replying I.N.

So by them taking a bite at Ascendis "cheaply", how can that be good for minorities,If they get a bite at 40 cents per share? (Company announces an "accelerated book build")
I'm being a pessimist, but the management hasn't given me anything to be optimistic about.

If a share is trading at fair value and you sell more shares it dilutes your holding.
Asc not trading at fair value due to the massive debt..the price is an indication of pessimism.

If a buyer appriached asc to take 100% or 50% they will end up paying premium adjusted for the debt.and we as shareholder get the bonus. However the creditors who are sneaky and know their numbers...believe that they could get 50% of the company at a discount...or fair value minus the premium...we as shareholder are still better off. As we have a smaller piece of a better structured entity. You have to look at future value. 6 miĺion shares sold...a big chunk at 73 c - does this mean the share is worth that...unlikely. as hard as this share falls so too can it climb. Many are still probably thinking....78c and we add 500m shares - then price is 40c.....not in this case. The creditor will agree 500 m shares at r4 without going to market - normally this sort of demand would drive the share to r6. Alternatively shareholders are bought out. Many speculative holders may run fornthe hills....but someone is mopping up...we should get a sens soon of a new entity having 5% of the shares....

And anthony clark ...lets see what comes of the twitter posts.....

Ok this is super strange, why are people selling their shares. And it looks like big guys. 6.5 Million shares traded today. Any of you guys know why?

Again, another thing not making sense. I think preserving their golden goose is a win i.e. no value destruction.

There is no firm deal yet is there ? its up in the air ?

All this is very confusing - just want to close my eyes for a week and see when it ends up. 5 mil already traded, share price done nothing and another 1.2 mil on offer at 79 - 80c

I feel your pain. Over 4 million shares on offer now at 80c during the closing auction call. What on earth is going on here??

They have already stopped the remedica sale. Apart from getting debt repaid..they looking to take a bit bite of ascendis....cheapily..minority shareholders get the upside...this share is already bottomed.

Hmmm... nah not sold. This can be really bad for minorities. If this is a debt to equity swap, at how much do these "saviours" want to get their Ascendis shares? Could there be a terrible dilution on the cards? With these guys gaining power, they can simply stop the sale of Remedica, for their own motives not minorities.

I'm only asking members, I may be getting these news wrong, somebody please assist.

Volumes are up nicely, but price is going nowhere...would have been nice to see a push and close above 80c.

Why would a creditor do this...they essentially make a bid to snap up 50% of the company at a discount..the entire company..r3 to r4 billiin for 50% of the company....which they then have a co trolling interest...

Agree- i added a bunch this morning. Creditor is willing to assist the recapitalisatiin..easiest would be to dilute shareholding...innthis instamce probably 500m shares at r5- including some of the cash from h1- and selling some of the portfolios...sunwave or farmilider...and we have 70% uowards debt gone...and remedica still on the books....we will see some imminent massive jumps when announcements come including a dilution...in this case is value accretive...wait for media and ac twitter.....lots of jnterest coming here...

Hell yeah..market still digesting..but basically when there is an understamding of what is happening ...we going to see major increases over the next few days.......a huge number of options on the table...but importantly..we have a very cheap share on our hands with a rediculous pe...and sitting on assets that outweigh debt significantly.....hold on for the rest of day and for the next 3 days....crazy me sees r2 breached...

IN this news opens doors for ASC. With the creditors backing and holding on to Remedica which will grow massively in future this will become a gem at the current price in my opinion. I'm also expecting a very very nice trading statement very soon. The numbers must have convinced the creditors. They wouldn't otherwise have offered this.

This is amazing news. Guys on a long term basis we will now keep our strongest asset.

Just bought additional shares at 80 cents.

Share supply will for sure dry up now in my opinion.

Did not expect this amazing news.

So we finally get a sens with some meaning behind it. Very interesting that the lenders are throwing their weight, but it is surely reassuring that they are willing to renegotiate and throw money at ASC. They must be fully aware that that cash is flowing in during the pandemic!
