Morning Polly.

Not sure if this thread will attract the Proppies/Vega/JaDeb & there was another who was also an IMP addict...think we all were at some stage...but we can only hope.

Took a look at CPI after your analysis & my short is hedging my equities holding nicely so thanks for the heads up.

Have a good day further.

Cheers.

40% odd down from ATH in March 2018 which coincided with industrial action followed by SAP implementation. Both sorted.

Struggling to find reason why this share is where it is.

Market still wants clarity on value of Christo Wiese's holding of voting shares....He's skint... .....& fund managers arguing they're not worth their previous "perceived" value ie....R3.5bil.

Might have the numbers wrong but that issue is still outstanding...

If I had surplus I would be buying at these levels...Sub R160

Mmmm but didn't shp have huge IT outlay and some distribution issues...i think stand me corrected theyve done the big spend for now on computers etc

A lot of costs will fall in latest FY release.
Personally I think we’ll only see this share return to its former glory upon updates following FY.

SAP was implemented in both DC and stores.
HUUUGE issues followed.
Pick n Pay has been on SAP for a while to my knowledge. Most suppliers make use of SAP which helps with better stock holdings in DC and stores as Supplier & Retailer systems can now “talk” to each other more effectively.

If taken for face value, market might react negatively to Full year results. I don’t expect they’ll be too good. If looked at as two halves to a whole, may be positive. A lot of ground needed to be made up in H2. Little Checkers didn’t seem to be as big a thing as years previous either.

now that is thinking out of the box...called streetwise thinking!! ;)

40% odd down from ATH in March 2018 which coincided with industrial action followed by SAP implementation. Both sorted.

Overall increase in total number of stores both at corporate and franchise (OK Foods)

Medirite pharmacies are busy putting local pharmacies out of business. Much like OK Foods has taken oven the 'old school' cafes and corner shops. (All Friendly franchises are busy being converted as well as 7-11's, both owned by SHP (through OK)), Medirite is doing the same.

Liqour has shown amazing growth.

Struggling to find reason why this share is where it is.

FED independence once again questioned!!

Do as you told is becoming the norm Re DT!!!

LOL, I think it was the Georgia (??) congressman that spent the first minute of his five allocated, assuring mr Powell that his job was safe and that DT couldn't fire him!!! Which I thought was pretty funny.

In two minds whether to add. First half was terrible due to SAP implementation (SHP), but I'm heartened by Foods increase at WHL for 2nd half. If WHL show'd a good H2, SHP should be similar. Especially considering return to norm on supply out of their North DC which accounts for 50% of total supply.

now that is thinking out of the box...called streetwise thinking!! ;)
