Thanks, then when you say you will trade at "the close price" - how do you actually do that? Do you calculate an set the limit price or do you select at market during the closing auction?

Thanks

I often join the best bid or offers in the auction. Then I know they will trade. You can also add a set price, 0,5-1% from the latest traded price before auction, in the direction of your trade.

ie. Sell 1% lower than latest price or buy 1% higher than the last traded price before auction.

Yeah agreed doesn't look to bad just hope lines hold towards the uptrend and hopefully THIS time (attack number 100+) will see a proper China wall break and hold above there :)

Thanks :)

SIGH PPC was holding well then tumbled, stubborn share this one

Not all is lost with PPC. The old resistance line was breached with closing today (actually @ R19-56), but there is still the new support line, which we have bounce off 3 times recently.

This support is now at R19-30, and we might test it tomorrow. This could be a good time to get into some more PPC. If this support doesn't hold, we should test it from the other side, to exit the trade.

It seems as though we might have to wait a little longer, before we see the big resistance break @ the great wall of China. :)

See the chart attached

PPC needs to close above R19-62, or we are losing support here. A close above R19-80 or near the wall  :D  would be better.

Near the wall would be great... Winter is coming

I am adding 2 long positions (TFG and AEG)

TFG - I want to add in auction - baring a collapse of the price.

AEG - It is showing a lot of divergence and the end of the downtrend. But it will be a strong break in trend. Would like to get it before the jump.

It has a NAV of more than R30/share, and it's trading at R6-96 at the moment. I added at R6-96. The shareprice was unduly punished after the trading statement.

P

Wow....and there AEG goes to R7-50,  10 mins after I posted the trade. :o

Has someone here got plenty moola or maybe it was just perfect timing?  :D

Hi Gents

Attached is the updated spreadsheet for today. I have some time constraints to get it all done and out on time. Two jobs keeping me busy  .

A lot of shares aren't trending (or breaking trend), and it is tough to find good shares in this choppy environment.

BTI and KIO hurt the portfolio badly after breaking out of trend, and then back into the previous trend, with big moves yesterday.

What are your thoughts on SGL guys?

Deciding whether too cut my losses and run or wait it out. Trading at R18.50 now and not sure how low it will go

Queen B, i would'nt touch (sell) it if i was you, i would let it be...you'll kick yourself when this rallies +20% in few weeks time as it always does, i think the Gold Index will touch -1000 first then bounce back..

Hi Pilot, appreciate your commitment to sharing your experience and knowledge - I'm learning something new every day from following this thread.

I'm long on GFI and got burned today  Any chance you could look at your charts on this one for me?

Thanks, pdpshares

I am closing KIO in auction at 17:00. It has completely reversed and is now a strong bear. Might add a short order tomorrow.

You can thank the 4% drop in iron ore prices yesterday for that
